Remarks

Good aspects The teacher are all qualified and have all good degree, The college provides all kind of scholarship for the student The campus is good 3.5/5 I would give. There are lots of student from different communities College also hosts different types of activities. They even provide free admission for waivers Bad aspects The gateman and principal don't care about the cows and dog entering inside the campuses something dog even gets inside the classroom while taking the class. They mostly don't clean the classroom. Some room is dirty and old. There is a gymnastics room but never open for us. The admission process is too long. It takes around 10 -20 days to get selection 1st student should go to the college website and then they should fill up the form and then they must submit to college after that they must pay the fee at the bank which is far from the college, Admission is taken in July and student are selected according to merit wise. Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have taken history honoured. The student ratio will be like 50:100. The teacher are all qualified, our hod has PhD and the rest has complete Ma with NET and their teaching method is also good but if u have language problem you won't able to grasp the teaching, The best part what I have like is that they don't give notes, which made us understand that they cannot just defend on teachers Mostly the language they used to communicate is Assamese. They used to take three exams in one semester, two are seasonal and one is boards exam, our college is under Guwahati University.

Placement Experience

1

There no campuses placement. After my degree I go for master studies like in university after that I will search job or else I will do PhD in my subject and then I will appear for apsc exam and net exam so my future.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is free for waiver and they only need to pay is exam fee. And for non waiver admission is fee is 5k-6.5k. And exam fee per semester is 1200-1500. The scholarship given is mostly from NATIONAL PORTAL SCHOLARSHIP.

Campus Life

2

there's no annual fee, once admission is done there no more fee except the exam fee. There are more than 10000 books in the library and they provide all the department books. The classroom is quite good with all light and fan inside.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The building is 3 store for girls and they have 2 building and for the boys there only one building with only ground floor, I don't have any idea about the hostel. I have no idea about the meal. No idea about hostel registration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

Course Curriculum Overview:

Learning about different forms and genres of literature was what peaked my interest to choose this course. The works of various influential literature writers that are included in the curriculum are relevant but could be a bit overwhelming at first. The length of the curriculum sometimes put the professors in pressure to complete their assigned syllabus and skip a bit. And some who don't skip, are unable to complete their sullabus. The curriculum may be improved by reducing the some of the contents.
