Entrance Preview

I had qualified the entrance test conducted by Jiwaji university itself and I got 27 rank and I was lucky to get admission in Msc. Biotechnology Program.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is nice and it is also according to the NET exam, as you can easily qualify the NET exam if you study well according to the curriculum and it also contains much practical or experiments which later help you in research if you go for the Ph.D as the maximum student goes for PhD. after their MSc.

Internships Opportunities

As per the university, rule may be they provide 8000rs/per month to the doctoral students if they qalified the entrance test.

Placement Experience

2

I think there is a good job opportunity after passing out from Jiwaji university. I also do some jobs but I want to do P.hD. so I left these jobs and go for the preparation for NET. but Placements were poor for B.Tech students since a few companies came for placement. The companies were not having any national presence and were not working in the field of Electronics and the jobs offered were not technical or related to course curriculum.

College Events

3

Annual function, food festival, various culture programs, Independence day, Republic day, Gandhi jayanti, various international and national conferences, seminars and presentations are always going on in the Jiwaji university. Many plays, skits, kavi samelans, and also other programs are somewhere going on in which students from different departments participates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for Msc. biotechnology students is Total Fee 26315(1st sem) 21925(2nd sem) 23275(3rd sem) 21925(4th sem) fee for SC/ST Candidates shall be charged as per the rules of Govt. of M.P. The total fees paid by such candidates shall be decided on the basis of their parents’ total annual income. However if such candidate taking admission against payment seats, they are required to pay Payment fees at the time of admission in addition to the caution money.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i didn't take the loan or know anyone who takes the loan..but may be some banks definitely give study loan for the students to study in this university.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostels have all the required facilities with well-furnished rooms. Appropriate security arrangements have also been made for these hostels. In view of the increasing strength of girl students, the existing accommodation is being extended to provide more rooms. One of the boys hostel named after Captain Roop Singh, a veteran hockey player is also located with in the campus to accommodate 150 students. Another boy’s hostel is Arya Bhatta Hostel, which is also well furnished with the Internet and other recreation facilities.

Exam Structure

There are four semester in two years of M.Sc. i.e. each at every six month and followed by the practicals in each semester except the last one as in the last semester we have the dissertation training in any research lab all over Indai or my be it self in Jiwaji university. There is a sufficient time between exams and lab work. no hectic schedule.

Admission

I saw the notification in the newspaper, then I submit the form according to the date provided, then I received the admit card for the entrance test there are 2 types of seats(total 40 seats) in M.Sc. biotech/biochem program first 20 seats are open with less fee and rest 20 seats are paid i.e. their fee is double than the open one i was lucky to get the open seat.

Faculty

2

There is a lack of teachers in Jiwaji particularly at biotechnology program but some teacher are really good as the immunology classes of Dr. G.B.K.S. Prasad sir was really easy to understand. The teaching program is strengthened by invited lectures from senior teachers and scientists from other Universities and National laboratories such as DRDE, Gwalior.

in the above field, the view I gave was totally good. just a few negative things left so they are here; university campus is located in a remote area so there is transportation issue as well as the connectivity issue even after being the wifi campus. but I am sure that the university staff is doing their best to solve each and every problem faced by students.
