Remarks
The college was situated near to my locality nullifying the extra travel & the college was known for its 'Discipline' factor which convinced me to opt for SVBCP. I had interacted with few alumni of the college and they proved themselves as an asset and explained how their B. Pharmacy courses from SVBCP helped them to secure a great future in a competitive world. Apart from discipline, Co-curricular activities mentioned on their site which actually takes place in the college with convenience, placements reports & various committees presence made me realize the opportunities I'll get here to grow & learn. The admission process was much simplified & the teachers helped at every step in every way possible during the process.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chemistry had attracted me a lot since 10th & I was even curious about how the drugs are manufactured - the process of the same & how they arrive in the market and like every step of it. To find the answers to it, I opted for this course here on entrance basis. The teachers here are much dedicated to their roles & responsibilities and their knowledge is to the best level. To enlist a few erudite, Prof. Prachi Pathak, Prof. Leena Chavan & Prof. Aparajita Varshneya, they ace at their work. New methodologies are always practiced in the college for a better teaching-learning environment. The term exams used to be as per University guidelines - and passing wasn't ever difficult if one paid complete attention to the lectures & followed proper timetable. The ratio is to be apt enough to be managed conveniently.
Placement Experience
Many students though opt for PG mostly. But still there used to be placements by various companies like TCS to give students the chance to present & take part in the outer world mostly through the 8th semester. Being a student yet, have no idea how the process actually takes place.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have no idea about scholarships much. But the cost was affordable - no many other expenses used to be there. And for other category students (OBC/NT/SC, etc), the fees were comparatively much affordable. There used to be internships during the 7th semester arranged by the college authorities & placement opportunities by the Placement Committee of the college in the 8th semester.
Campus Life
If social life to be added to the schedule, things used to go hectic but then again one can learn time management via this. Starting from Meraki - a literature event by Editorials to NOVUS by E- Cell Committee & Talaash by Culturals and to Sports events, everything used to be fun. The annual fest took place in the month of Feb, mostly. Festivals like Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, National events, etc. was also celebrated. An Intracollegiate event named YPIPA was also organized unleashing research aspects. And we also used to get the chance to take part in competitions by IPA, DLLE & other colleges. Every classroom had projectors & chalkboard teaching. Books in the library were available to much extent. Also, an E-library facility was made available.
