Remarks

Overall It is a good college. You no need to spend much and the education provided here is good. You will gain a lot, achieve on your own. Bit struggle will be there but in future that will be a lesions learn.

Entrance Preview

I gave Orissa JEE exam got 1600 rank in women quota. Everyone suggested me not to join there, but it is overall a good college. Pre placement training is being conducted. All kind of off campus interview call letter you can get easily but on campus opportunity is little less. But I did not find it bad. If you are good enough you will get job easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is good. Even the practicals are quite helpful. Every practical class you have to submit assignment and have to give viva that marks will be accumulated for the semester. Cheating can not happen. Math class is especially very productive. Many classes are good enough to attend. Only few classes will not be that much interesting.

Placement Experience

3

Placement opportunity is not that good/bad. They will do whatever possible to get call letter for off campus. We attended "intergraph" twice, mahindra satyam, syntel, oracle, ponam infovision much more. But oncampus opportunity is bit less. If you are good student you can get through off campus you will get many chances. No need to worry.

College Events

4.5

This one is the best thing in the college. Tech fest and freshers welcome party. farewell, annual function, independence day are being celebrated grandly. Techfest is the best one. people from different college are being invited. There will be tough competition among the students. I have always seen students here may be bad in studies but better in other fields. Dance, singing, skit, speech, robotics etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible nearly you have to spend 2 to 2.5 lakhs for 4 years. Management quota you have to pay little more but not that much as compare to other colleges. No extra money on the name of campus. Books projects everything taken care by your self. record and xerox of books and notes are available there in the college in a store that prices are less.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have never heard about loan or scholarship facilities. But I think if you will talk to college management they can arrange something for loan, you can pay in installments.

Campus Life

3.5

Students are very much active. You will get good competitive environment. even though students will not be good enough in studies but still I have seen them good in competition in techfest held in other better colleges even in IITs. And also I have seen people getting selected in off campus very easily. Gender ratio will be 2:5 (female:male).

Hostel Facilities

3

I have never stayed in hostel. But I have heard the food is not good, But it is in Berhampur a very famous town of orissa known for variety of food in cheap rate, even you can get south indian and north indian food. Inside college canteen food cost is less and quality is ok.

Alumni/Alumna

You can get in touch with seniors easily. But for freshers it is bit difficult. but good notes and its xerox are available in the store inside college campus, which is very helpful for semester.

Exam Structure

There will be three internal semester wise there will be small via tests at the end of each practical class. You need to submit the record and assignment within time. That marks will added to the end semester result. College will provide the marks per subject 30 marks. End of each semester there will be a grand viva out of 10 you have to score at least 9 or 8 to get top grade. And the semester exam question paper will be provided by BPUT bit tough question but previous year sample question paper with answers are available in market, You have chance of getting 50% marks through that.

Admission

Attened OJEE with that rank I attended counciling held at Bhubaneswar. There I opt this college according to my rank basis. I opted for Computer science and engineering course. people even joined via AIEEE rank basis. During counciling you will be asked to fill three college option depending upon your rank.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are very nice. They attend classes regularly and very sincere. only the college students are not good. Even though few students wont co operate, still faculties are very dedicated. Always you will get good advice from HR and HOD. They are very helpful. If you are always in touch, you can get good information on ppt classes and campus.

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
