Remarks
It is located in a very good location. Easy to travel via public transport and even personal vehicle. The road is also properly made. The admission process was half online and half offline. We can pay fees in installments. Students have various scholarships. They can apply for scholarships. Staff and teachers are very helpful. They allow limited students so that personal attention will be given. I stay in the same town where the college is located. So it is very easy for me to travel to the college near my house. Even college hours are very suitable.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is fixed for BSc Biotechnology. The student-teacher ratio is around 1:10. Teachers guide you personally for day to day lectures. They provide notes if asked for. Teaching and NonTeaching staff both got very good qualifications. Term exam takes place every six to seven months depending on University. As it is a University governed college. The exam was of moderate level.
Placement Experience
There is no such proper placement. This is a con, They need to work on it. They have placements for IT students maybe. But for the biotechnology department, there is no specific placement drive. They do guide with seminars for placement. But no proper placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike by around 1-2k every year as you proceed towards course completion. Additional charges for some events and journals cost around 600-700 per year. Various government scholarships for students with income less than 8Lakh. Even scholarships for working students.
Campus Life
There is a normal social gathering during the afternoon time. Mostly held in the month of December or January. Department wise there is various fest help in the month of February. Exhibitions are held in the month of September. Every month there are seminars, book exhibitions or counseling, guest lectures.
