Remarks
Classes are good but the faculty is bad. Except for the teachers and the classes, nothing is good about the college. The admission process is based on both merit and quota. The only reason for opting for this college is the classes. One can have a school like an environment here. Nothing more fascinating about the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this college only for the classes. The B.com and BBA course here is self-financed, unlike the BA program. Most of the students acquire seats through quota here. The teaching faculty is good but the administration department is very bad. If I were to rate them, I would rate the a zero. Exams were conducted according to the schedule passed by Gauhati University.
Placement Experience
Okay, there's no such thing as campus placement here. No companies will visit, no offers are made, and no such things as a higher or average package. Students are all on their own. You'll have the fend for yourself.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it is a self-financed program introduced by the college, it's not that flexible. The students are charged higher fees compared to the students of the BA programme. They even impose "NC (Non-collegiate) fees" for B.com and BBA students. There is no scholarship I've seen so far. There's no job facility or stipend system here.
Campus Life
The college organizes a "College Week" every year at the end of January which lasts for 3 or 4 days. Apart from that, there's a General College Freshers' organized for welcoming the new students at the end of August every year. The new library is good. The only sports activities I've ever seen is during College Week. There's a good for nothing Students' Body.
