Scope of DIPLOMA in BITS

Bheema institute of technology and science is a jntua affiliated college which offers BTECH and DIPLOMA courses. The pros of this institute are its freedom and liberty that students enjoy throughout. The campus is hygienic green and pleasant. Faculty are very friendly with the students and help the students in various aspects in building their profession. Labs are well equipped. BITS offers two courses in DIPLOMA.

At present in diploma C16 curriculum is followed. Whose full details could be collected from the sbtet website. The C16 curriculum is very well structured which includes an industrial training period in the 5th sem for EEE and in the 6th sem for CE. The faculty-student ratio was about 1:10. Almost all the faculty are MTECH graduates with min 4 years of teaching experience. Coming to the exam pattern there were internal and external exams which carried 20 marks and 80 marks respectively for theory subjects and 40 and 60 marks for practicals. Each sem had 2 mid exams and 1 end semester exam. Each mid carried 20 marks. And end sem carried of 80 marks. Practical internal marks were awarded on the basis of students assignments.

The college has a good relationship with no of companies. In fact, almost all the students have received internship opportunities from the college department which helped us a lot in improving our practical knowledge.

Basically, there are no campus placements for diploma level but it has got a good reputation with the BTech course. No of companies such as TATA, MAHINDRA, KIA, INFOSIS, etc have recruited students for BTech.

The fee structure for a diploma course in BITS is as follows 2500/- University fee, 15500/- Tution fee, 5000/- Bus fee, 25000/- Hostel fee, all mentioned fee structures are per annum. There will not be any fee hike annually. There will be financial assistance almost 90% of the students get scholarships from jagananna vidhya devana for tution fee and jagananna vasdhi dheevana for their hostel expenses.

You cant expect very good social life as there won't be any kind of fests or annual day celebrations at this institute. Except for annual sports meet, freshers day party and a farewell. BITS has a good collection of books at the central library which is at free of cost to the students. It has both technical and research collections. Even digital library is available. Classrooms and the infrastructure is good. There are internet college compitation.

I didn't opt hostel but there are hostel facilities provided by the institute. Boys hostel is within the campus and the girl's hostel is in ADONI town. Hostels are not good as no of students are high and the infrastructure is bad. Canteen food is satisfactory.
