Remarks

Though even it was far away from my residence the three major reasons that attracted me towards symbiosis college of arts and commerce Pune were : 1. Faculty 2. Facilities 3. Placement And the other reasons include alumni, reputation, students from all over the world, program structure etc. The college equips the student with industry-specific skills. Every year the campus is visited by highly-reputed companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, Wipro, and others highly recognized in the corporate world. Infrastructure wise the classes are air-conditioned and have ceiling-mounted projectors as well. There is a hostel on campus with all the necessary amenities. Apart from this college is also a differently-abled friendly campus. Academically The college provides its students with experienced faculty distributed across various departments. Other facilities such as library, auditorium, cafeteria are well equipped and well designed with responsible staff and authorities.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Almost every university offers B.com to their students but they lack guidance and are backed up by poorly structured programs to run their institutions. Whereas symbiosis college of arts and commerce had appointed the finest and experienced teachers to their respective courses. Students are not only given admission on a merit basis but also get the opportunity to choose the subject in which they would like to specialize without college intervention. The faculty-student ratio is 1:75 Faculties over here are well experienced, highly professional towards their job and graduated with many other Ph.D. holders. Teachers are professionally well trained highly experienced and educated. Teachers are convenient enough to arrange a question hour session every week for their students and also they provide the students with various tasks and assignments which are not only important from an exam point of view but are also helpful in the practical world. Term exams are scheduled once every 6 months.

Placement Experience

4.5

Symbiosis college of arts and commerce has always been able to maintain a good placement cell. All well-reputed companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, ICICI bank, etc have been visiting the campus every year. The highest and average package varies between 3.5 to 7.2 LPA, SCAC manages to place 80% of the batch. Quite a number of students get placed in various companies and few others decide to take onto professional courses such as CA, CS or maybe MBA, etc, My plan after getting the degree was to join the chartered accountancy course for further specialization in accountancy, law, audit, and taxation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course offered by the college is designed and brought up in such a manner that it not only keeps the teacher and students updated but also helps students to get placement in good companies. The fee hike is negligible and costs to study are not at all a question of grievance The fee structure is distributed over 6 semesters. There are various scholarships offered by the college and some of them are Minority scholarship, Ishan Uday scholarship(for the northeast region), Krantijyoti Savitrimata Phule scholarship(for girls), Physically handicapped scholarship, etc, Top MNC, BPO companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, etc visit the campus for placement every year. The salary/stipend offered varies from 4LPA to 7.2LPA and sometimes students end up getting offered above average package based on their knowledge and skills. Top roles such as event/department manager or else coordinator are offered to the students.

Campus Life

5

Symagine is the college fest organized by the students with the help of authorities and faculties of the college. There is another fest as well which are organized by respective branches of symbiosis college all over Pune. The library is quite spacious and is well maintained and updated every now and then. Student records and other data related to books and student who has issued it with dates of return is kept in form of files and stored in the computer. Classrooms are air-conditioned, well ventilated, ceiling-mounted projectors installed in every classroom.

Interview Experience

5

The criteria to be eligible for the B.com course is to hold a pass certificate of 10+2 issued by ICSE, CBSE, or any other recognized Board. The admission is based on merit and as per the reservation policy of the government. 0-25% of seats are reserved for NRI/ foreign nationals. The student receives an offer letter after the merit list is finalized. The offer letter contains the link to fill the admission form and pay fees. Thereafter the student is informed to visit the campus on a particular date assigned to each student with all the necessary documents for physical verification.

Bcom is a common coarse I was doing a competitive coarse side by side that's why I choose bcom because if a person doing plain bcom there is very less chance to get a good job and salary because there is very less job in the market and they provide very less salary u have to do any other good coarse after bcom or side by side
