Remarks :
My personal career choice was of design major. Our college provide the course most suitable for my taste. The career choice I was hoping to choose is traditional animation. Our college provide degree for not only all kinds of animation but also graphic design and even the basics for ui/ux design verse and also coding. And the course was was provided by the esteemed Mahatma Gandhi University and our college was affiliated to it. So for me personally, this college was more suitable and even near to home and also provide excellent tutelage from experienced designers and animators.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since our course was provided by Mg university, the syllabus was updated regularly to cope up with the design wave that takes our area by storm. By that means keeping up with the trend and providing exposure and so and so. The exposure is good but since it is growing course and because it's in the initial stage of development, I personally feel exposure wise our college was a bit behind. But our alumni are all placed in such brilliant companies and our core companies that evaluates our people are big ones such as Tata consultancy centre, Toonz animation studio, Prayan studio, azure creative studio. The faculties are extremely talented,respected in their jobs and have immense experience. Our animation department HOD, S.K Radhakrishnan Sir was under direct tutelage of Sr.Ram Mohan who is revered to be the father of Animation.
Placement Experience :
Tata Consultancy Service, Toonz animation studio, Prayan animation studio, Azure creative studio. So the majority of our people get placed in graphic design studio and those who opt animation mainly get called from technopark,infosys Trivandrum
College Events :
Campus life was Fun. We Have tons of festivals and fest. Student council are in Charge of all cultural activities and such. Since we are a media college many film festivals are done and have been conducted in our college. Hostel life might be the highlight for most students
Campus Life :
Our campus is in growing stage. So infrastructure is a bit behind but it has been developing. New buildings and classrooms and studios Is being constructed. Since we are in animation major, theatre is provided with maximum quality.
Hostel Facilities :
They provide us with maximum comfort and space. Food is moderately good. Big rooms, clean toilets. Overall it's quite good. The hostel rooms have been separated based on the classes we take. 3 to 4 people in a room. And Public mess hall for food.
