Remarks

First a fall, the city Surat is known for the textile and commerce industry and I was really interested in having a textile business along with my postgraduate studies. So I chose this university because the timings were flexible and it was easy to concentrate on both the things.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was very easy. It was just more detailed study of what we did in B.Com and the curriculum was nicely scheduled. The environment wasn't studious at all.Also, some of the professors were really good but others seemed inexperienced.

Placement Experience

There was no placement cell. And as Surat is more about business rather than jobs, No companies visited the campus. And anyways we didn't expect any recruitment because we knew that we will end up doing Business. However, if somebody was interested in any job than the university did provide them with all the necessary documents.

College Events

Well, I didn't stay in the campus hostel so I don't know all that as such. But the events were quite basic yet memorable. The university students did participate in a lot of sports at state level. Even I used to go the ground in the morning to play Cricket with my friends.

My honest Experience at Ahmedabad University

Placement Experience:

Placements at Ahmedabad University are structured and well-organised. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and the placements cell starts preparing us earlier through workshops, mock interviews and resume sessions. A good range of companies visit the campus, including consulting firms, it companies, finance and analytics roles, start-ups and well-known multinational organisations. The number of offers varies each year, but most visiting companies recruit for roles like business analysts, software developers, marketing associates, finance trainees and operations roles.

Placement Experience:

Their is an placement faculty in my college, many companies like torrent, birla, tcs etc and many more companies visit our college. Also our college provides internship for students. The average salary pakage is about 3 lakhs which is less and about 65% of students are placed every year. Highest pakage of my college is about 8lacks per annum. About my plan after completing degree is that if college place me for about salary upto 6 lakhs then i will place otherwise i will go for preparation of "GPSC" exam and set the carrier their.

From semester 7th students become eligible for campus placement. there are so many compnies that are visited & offered sudents like L&T, Infosys, TCS, HCL, INTEL. there is 22.6 LPA package is highest package in Mechanical Department and Averege Package is 4.2 LPA. There were 67% students placed in year 2024. My Plan is to go abroad for Masters after getiing my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.

Review the SVIT college by a dumbass who apparently decided to do D.voc????

Placement Experience:

Well we are not eligible for placements and I don't know about others. The college says studes have gotten jobs at companies like Google, MS, intel, AMD, Airbnb but not sure how true that is. Don't have info on what package students get on average or who's gotten the highest. Don't have info on percentage of students getting placements, but I ASSUME it's low and obviously students should apply for placements outside of campus anyways.

Beautiful campus and great exposure.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semister students become eligible to sit in the placement of the college. The college providess oncampus placements and has various connections and ties with various companies like Google amazon and many other. Last year total of 75% students got placed with average of 11lpa package and highest package was 60 lpa. Also this college helps you get internship opportunities right from 2nd year which is very good.
