Anuja Antony's Review On St. Albert's College, Ernakulam

Remarks :

I had applied to more than 10 colleges under MG University and got admissions in colleges which were very farther away from my place of residence. St. Albert's College is an autonomous institution. I got admission here by applying seperately. It is near to my home and has good teachers and library. It's quite popular college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Academics are the most important thing here. You've to score proper marks and maintain healthy attendance. Exams are conducted on proper intervals and so on. Faculties are also good. I studied B.Com self financing which had an industrial visit. Logistics courses has more industrial exposure as compared to us.

Placement Experience :

Placements came from Wipro, Sutherland, TCS etc. Corona virus has made it difficult to get placed as for now. I got placed in Sutherland on campus recruitment and is currently working there. Wipro wasn't able to conduct interview because of corona. College has entrepreneurial club for upbringing such skills.

College Events :

Cultural fests and events are getting better each year. All depends on the PRO of the college. However I felt like academics are given most weightage than extra curricular activities or sports. Events held are pretty neat and enjoyable.

Campus Life :

College has really good library, MAC computer Lab. I don't know about the chemistry lab. Sports campus is located little far from college. College has lower campus area and no parking space for students.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
