Remarks

Our college was an average college with good facilities and hostel life. But I wish they could have increased some technocrats in the faculty department. the placement cell should also be good to get 70% to 80% students placed. Placements had been a real failure of my college. Even at my passing time in the year 2012 not more than 20% got a good placement.

Entrance Preview

I had given AIEEE and secured respected score. i attended counseling and opted for this college, there were a few seniors who were working with Accenture after passing out from the same college. So i gave the preference to this college over others. i chose Electronics and communication which was in demand at the time and i did not make mistake in doing that.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum was a detailed one. the college is affiliated with RTU (Rajasthan technical university). So the course was standard. Faculties were not very up to the mark. they laid emphasis on the books written by local authors. if any one started following the good publications books, it was hard for the faculties to make us understand most often.

Internships Opportunities

At my time college internship was not happening. I had to register myself to MTS all my own. And in due course I was having my own expenses. Now a days may be they are offering something in side the campus which I had heard that is good. Some kind of workshops are also conducted now.

Placement Experience

1.5

At my time placement was not so good. All in all 4 to 5 companies visited our campus. which offered basic package not very good as compared to the demanding market. To name a few Patni computers, Mahindra, Syntel (online centralised exam), HCL and Sag Infotek. They all offered from the range expanding from 1 lakh P.A tp 2.4 lakhs PA.

College Events

3.5

College events are conducted regularly at college at a grand level. Every year around February we had a college fest that lasted around a week. this period included technical, cultural, management festivals and sports(indors and outdoors). A good number of students took interest from inside our college and outside colleges as well. The respective branches had their own events which also welcomed different colleges. Our technical fest included sections related to robotics and LAN plays. Cultural events had band plays, dancing and singing events and Kavi sammelan too. though the college has earned reputation regarding the events all around locally but still it has to gain high remarks to spread globally.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At my time fee was 42000 a year, which was very low as compared to south Indian colleges. But now they have increased the fee very much. The batch which got admission in 2012 had an increased fee structure and hostel fee. Every year the fee structure gets revised. Now I can say that the study has got expensive keeping in mind the reputation of RTU and the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships were availed by few of my local students who were residents of Rajasthan. The students who belonged to the poor family were eligible for the scholarships. I do not remember the exact name but they provided around 50000 a year. this scholarship was given on the basis of income level of father but nothing like scholarships related to topper students were given. No scholarships were for studious or topper students.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was good. College as ample amount of ground which was shared by boys and girls but only on the occasion of some meeting or inter branch tournaments or festivals like garba and dance parties. on other time girls had a separate field which was shared with another girls college RCEW. Boys to girl ratio was around 5:1 .Labs had good facilities. The best lab was from electronics section and Mechanical department. We had a strict rule regarding ragging so anti ragging squad was ready to see that every thing was going smooth. Our batch included students from every background and I never felt something happening inside campus related to inequality or caste or gender issues. There was a healthy environment of every event that included Hostel Parties, workshops, cultural societies, debates and tournaments.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities had been good. they provided accommodation as single room, double room and dormitory. All the rooms were well furnished and there are two buildings old and the new hostel. New hostel has all single rooms that are expensive. double rooms are available in old hostel. Mess food was average at my time. though they provided different food items daily but the quality somehow was compromised. I did not like the taste of the food many a time. they also have a facility to provide food in festivals to the students who kept fast like roja and dussehra. the snacks provided in the evening was good.

Alumni/Alumna

My experience with seniors was good. At my time I gave introductions when I was in ist year. But later I witnessed that most of the seniors were good at helping. I had a few good connection with seniors that always gave good knowledge to me. Though there were few who really were notorious. After passing I have not met with most of the seniors physically but still have connected with social sites and social apps.

Exam Structure

Internal exams that college held was based on the lectures that we attended. And based on the marks obtained in the internal exams our marks were sent to the university.University xam structure was a bit tight. they usually finished the semester exams in two weeks that included 5 to 6 subjects. normally it would be a day gap between the two papers but for a major paper they gave 2 days gap.

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

Placement Experience:

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
