Remarks

ADMISSION: Admission process was really simple while I was applying for the course. From the year 2019 JEE MAINS is mandatory for admission. 45% minimum average of mathematics, physics, chemistry put together. Improvement marks will not be considered. Admission is based on the merit of rank obtained by the candidate in the corresponding year. SEATS AND RESERVATIONS: Seats available: 60 Tamil Nadu candidates - 50% of seats OBC - 27% SC - 15% ST - 7.5% PROS: Very low tuition fees. College provides degree and diploma for only a single branch so there are only very few students studying on campus which makes the teaching learning process more transparent. Campus is filled with trees basically neem trees which makes it a better place stay positive. CONS: Tamil Language is used by most of the lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The name of the course and the syllabus is really eye catching. That is what attracted me to this college. College has enough number of Faculties. Most of the Faculties are contract based and permanent staffs are really few. Most of the teachers have an mtech in textile field. Teaching methods used are simple lectures. For each semester 3 internal exams and 1 model exam is conducted. Exams are really simple to score marks

Placement Experience

0.5

From the final semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Only a very few companies visited the campus. Tulsi textiles which is chennai based is the better one among the 2-3 companies. Only 1-2 offers are made by the companies. 15000 per month is the maximum offered by the companies. Only very few students get placed. I am planning to go for higher studies abroad. ( courses in fashion production)

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees is 26000 with hostel facilities and almost 16000 without the hostel fees. Scholarships are available based on the caste category, annual family income and marks of the candidate. On campus jobs are not available.

Campus Life

1.5

The only two programs conducted by the college every year is the annual day and the sports day. They are mostly conducted by the month of February. The library is a very good source of textile related journals and books. Classroom facilities are a bit limited but all the necessaries and available. There are no clubs and groups run by students.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The rooms provided are very small. The room might be shared by 2, 3, or 4 students. This is due to the very limited rooms available. Each room had 2 cupboards, 2 bed cots, 2 study tables and 2 chairs. Light and fan is also provided. The food quality is not that good. Food is tamil based and the menu is changed every now and then. Separate registration is not required for hostels. For the facilities and food provided, the fees is a bit high. No rooms or PGs are available nearby to rent.

Interview Experience

4.5

When i applied for the course, i had to face an interview with the college officials. The interview was not at all formal and strict. It was just a normal talk. They asked me about my studies and how i came to know about this course and things like that. There is nothing to prepare for this interview.
