College years are the best

The college experience for most of the people is a never forgetting one. Thats exactly what it has been for me.

The college had an internal entrance exam at that time. I scored over 80 percent and I choose for this college as it has a name for itself and is in my hometown.

The curriculum is vast. we had seven subjects in each semester. Six semesters in all. We had a lot of practicals and assignments and projects through each semester.

The internship experience was pretty okay. The stipend that I got at that time was 450 rupees a month. (I am not sure what it is now.but i would guess may be just double of that at the most).

The Hospitality industry only grows every year as people travel more and more with every passing year for pleasure or business. So the market is pretty good.

The college celebrated a lot of events.including all the festivals and holidays. we would have events like a north Indian food festival or a Thai food festival etc.

The fees structure at that time was 1.5 lac. I am not sure how much it is now. Probably double i am guessing. The college was pretty flexible about it at that time.

No scholarship is provided. No loan facility offered by the college that I know of.I am not aware of any.

During our time there was not much of sports in the college. But we had a lot of practicals. Which was a great thing and had competitions associated with that.

There is no hostel facility at the college. There is no mess either. The students have to arrange for their own stay and food.

Nearly everyone is settled abroad so only in touch through facebook or whats app majorly. Plan to meet sometime in years to come. We have a group on social networking sites.

There are 7 subjects every semester. So there are 7 exams every semester, excluding the practicals for subjects that require that. The passing marks in each subject is 70%.

The college has specialized faculty for each subject. The faculty at our time was great. We shared a great student-teacher bond. We learned a lot from them. They were our teachers and mentors at the same time
