Remarks

Honestly I was not a brilliant student so my options for colleges to join were low anyway. However I did choose Gitam because it has really really good infrastructure compared to other similar colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our syllabus was just recently updated for our batch. Since I am still in the 2nd year of my studies I can't say if I gained any industrial exposure yet. Most of the faculty seem to be fine but honestly I'm not too satisfied with the portion or syllabus, I think it could have been much better, especially for computer science where teachers fail to motivate students to get interested in the subject. I must say however, the Physics faculty atleast for me, was absolutely brilliant. However other than that, academics is pretty average, don't expect any miracles or amazing learning experience here.

Internships Opportunities

Still in 2nd year. Haven't applied for any internship.

Placement Experience

2.5

Companies like Amazon, Verizon, HP, Accenture, etc. Visit our college. All these companies however come for mass recruitments as evident by the 4.5 lakh annual package.

College Events

4

Campus Life is really great. We have a lot of clubs for every kind of students with events happening every week. We do have 3-4 big events where 100-200 students participate and have tons of fun. In one of the events a popular Stand up comedian shows up every year so it's tons of fun. On top of all that our college canteen is brilliant with really tasty food which makes free periods and lunch breaks all the more fun. And the washrooms are super clean too! With automatic flushes nonetheless, it's really well maintained.

Campus Life

One thing I can say for certain is that Gitam has one of the best infrastructures I've ever seen in EAMCET colleges. Sports facilities are good, library is also of a decent size and we'll maintained, lab equipment are also maintained decently well(much better than in other colleges I've seen so far). WiFi depends from place to place so I would not say it's great or bad either.

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Highest package is around 58 lakhs after doing mba and the average package is around 10.5 to 11 lakhs. 95% of the students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is work for a couple of years maybe.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.
