Remarks

If you want to do just your graduation then this is most affordable and decent institute in faridabad. But if you seriously want to get job in your relevant sector then either please take lab training and learn languages from some training institute or choose any other college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The institute is affiliated with Maharishi Dayanand university. In starting they will show you that you will learn many languages and we will provide practice labs for languages etc etc. Although the course curriculum that they show while counseling is good but they don't provide all syllabus that they mention in starting. They teach only for exam purpose and in MDU it is much easier to get expected question types as they mostly repeat similar questions of 4-5 years. The exam pattern was descriptive type 5 questions of 80 marks in which some were divided in 2 parts and there was option in every question to attempt any one. Rest 20 marks were of internal assessments and practical. There were very few labs in 3 years course duration and they were of normal programming or you can say very basic. You won't get placement on basis of institutional teaching of languages as they cover theory part mostly. Now coming to placements, they don't have tie up with much it companies. They will try to place you in any company whether it is relevant to your course or not.On campus drives are very very few, they will provide you venue and will be charging transport fee from you.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements is the worst part of this institue as at counseling they show you that they have tie up with many many companies but in your last year you would get 1_2 on campus drives only that too can be irrelevant of your course. They will send you for irrelevant interviews too for making placements count more to anywhere whether by charging transport. Placement percentage is only max 10% as out of our batch only 1 girl was placed in relevant sector as they have only 1 vacany and the institue tried to place other students anywhere whether it is bpo, sales or anything.

College Events

1

Yes there were some cultural fests and festivals like diwali teachers day were celebrated. One annual function in which there was dancing, singing, modelling or showcase of any talent that you have was organised in auditorium of institue as the campus area is not much so auditorium is also small and they don't let everyone enter in the auditorium. Entries are done on course basis. Freshers and farewells are arranged by students itself and they are paid and happen outside college wherever the students can nearby. College does not have good space for party and also they don't finance it.They do not have any play ground for sports activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is average. The annual fees of Bsc honors was 45000 per annum that was to be paid in 2 installment in a year. However short attendance and internal exams absent was also charged but that is same in almsot every private college.Internal exam absent was charged 200 per paper and attendance short was calculated as per percentage of short attendance.

Fees and Financial Aid

No they don't provide scholarships to students. Althogh my percentage was good and after many request they only made 1000 rupees discount for first year only.I didn't avail loan facility.

Campus Life

As i mentioned earlier too campus is very less in area. You won't enjoy that campus life in this institue you have to go outside institute to enjoy with your friends. There are no parties and workshops and sports. Gender ratio is average. In my batch it was almost 50-50. No racism,no discrimination. College president was also elected outside institue. No politics in college. No bullying, no ragging.Police is always there outside institute to ensure safety during college hours as there is some local crowd too of nearby villages.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah seniors were very helpful. They used to sit with us and enjoy with us. They used to provide notes, questions papers of previous years etc. They used to visit our classrooms when there was break or no lectures.

Admission

I was good at computers and was willing to work as a software engineer some day so i chose Computer science as the graduation subject.Due to lack of money i chose to do Bsc honors as Btech was expensive. I chose Davim college as it was average in fees and could not get admission in Delhi university.

Faculty

3

Faculty is good but they only provide you theoretical knowledge due to lack of equipments.Although classes of all subjects was regular but still there was only that much knowledge was prohided which was enough for exams purpose only. There was not a single industry visit or exposure. There were 4_5 lectures per day of 3_4 subjects and 5 and sometimes 6 days in a week. No industrial training was provided from institute's end neither they gave any certification of training.

Both the things be it placements or the internships, they are top class. Since our course was related to Financial Markets, companies like Axis Capital, Reliance Mutual Funds and likewise the companies that deals in security markets were the ones that have us jobs. Average placements of B.Com in Financial Markets were around 5 lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus is very strainght forward in first semester it includes most of the part of bachelors so that we can recall everything . syllabus includes technical subjects which can be applied into the real world. i think syllabus for first semester is too vast , some part of this should be added into 2nd semester .

Remarks:

After I did my Bachelors in Information Technology, I started working immediately in Gurgaon. But after working for four years and switching two companies I realized that if I want a salary hike and a higher position I need to brush up on my skills and also learn some more skills as per industrial requirements. So when I searched for such PG courses I came across this Great Learning academy. When I did some more research I came to know that they provide online learning and certification is given by famous recognized universities and guides for better job opportunities. Amid this ongoing pandemic it was a relief to find such a good option to upgrade knowledge. Admission process is purely online on the official website, first the online application form was filled, then I went through a screening call with the admission director's office. Then I got an offer letter, I paid the fees and secured my seat.
