Remarks

I chose this college after seeing wonderful things inside the college. In which the first was faculty team of ACE. All were very experienced with atleast 7 years of experience. Secondly was the way of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview

The relationship between the students and teachers were just made in heaven. Their bond was so strong. In the first day of the college only, they made huge changes in student's personality. Apart from teaching, they showed us way of living.

Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

These internships were also suggested from the college, during our holidays I used to do internship. I worked with HP for two months with 10,000/month salary.

Placement Experience

Placement were recieved by all the students who did well in the exams. Whosoever got failed in their academics were not allowed to take part in the campus placement. HCL,HP,Dell,Apple, Infosys, Wipro everyone came here

College Events

Festivals celebrated here was very much south culture based. Like Pongal, Onam was some of the national festival in the college point of view. But there were some festivals too like Bakrid, holi which also got celebrated here.

Campus Life

As college was fully an engineering college. Every facilities there was made just for engineer use. Whether it was the library, auditorium, or the laboratory. My specialization field was computer based.

Life in HIMT

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

LIFE IN HIMT COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

I am placed in MOLMI. And sincerely thank HIMT for the placement. The other companies who Recruits cadets from HIMT are Zodiac, MOLTA, Sanmar, Genco, Ozler ONE shipping etc . HIMT have good placement records of 100%, if you have no arrears then for sure will get placed

This is the best college overall

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Remarks:

I got this college through Mci. The campus was beautiful also after asking to the students over there I got to know that the whole course will be in English so no issue of language in teaching and also the teachers are friendly and supporting and there is no ragging in the campus.
