My college review

The boom Indian Healthcare industry has resulted in a great need for healthcare professionals. This institution has 20 years of experience in the health care field. We have here an excellent Faculty with On-going training, research, experience. There are about 40 faculty, each of them experts in different fields of hospital management. We have a Picturesque campus at Banjara hills.

The programme is of two years duration. It comprises four semesters; three semesters of interactive and experiential classroom teaching frequented with hospital visits followed by one semester of internship. The course curriculum is a unique blend of classroom teaching, practical training, and experiential exercises, field visits, extensive industry interface in the form of guest lectures, conferences, and course modules taught by industry experts.

The Programme has a dedicated Placements Cell with qualified and experienced professionals. The Placements Cell nurtures excellent corporate relations with a wide network of reputed hospitals and health-care institutions. Duly leveraging the reputation and standing of ASCI, the high-quality of the programme as well as the knowledge-base and skill sets that the students would be endowed with at the end of the two-year programme, the Placements Cell provides extensive assistance to students to explore a variety of career options Organizations where ASCI alumni are making a mark in India include Apollo Hospitals, Max Super-specialty, Kokila Ben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Wockhardt, Jaypee Hospital, Fortis Healthcare, Infosys, Manipal Hospital, Bombay Hospital, LV Prasad Eye Institute, ICICI Lombard etc.

The fee structure is expensive as we need to pay 8 and a half lakh for 2 years including the stay in a hostel and for students not staying in hostel need to pay 5 nd half lakh for 2 years. Other expenses may include project work fees and hostel fee.

The campus is very huge. We have got 15 students in the hostel and at moments the participants from diverse states also stay on the campus. The campus has got a badminton court, basketball court, tennis court, gym. students from different states stay in the hostel. It is a very happy climate to be with all of them. As everyone is from a different background and culture we get to know more about them.

If you have Graduation any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate can apply for this course. A valid score from any one of the Management Admission Tests approved by the AICTE, viz. MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ XAT/ ATMA.Candidates with experience, Candidates appearing for their final year examination of Bachelor?s degree or waiting for the final year results in the current year are also eligible to apply. Selection is based on a combination of such factors as Academic credentials, Management Admission Test score, Performance in Personal Interview (PI), Demonstrated interest in the healthcare management, Communication skills etc

ASCI faculty bring into the classroom, their rich experience and wealth of expertise accumulated over the years in delivering the PGDHM programme. Liberal use of audio-visual aids is made. The sessions in the classroom are complemented and supplemented by exposure visits that ASCI organizes for the students. Visits to hospitals (under a unique Know Your Hospital initiative) and health-care organizations enable the students to understand and appreciate better, the concepts that they have been exposed to and gain a hands-on feel of the organizational challenges and situations typical of real-life scenarios.
