Course Curriculum Overview
Journalism is a very vocational subject and it is important to be as smart in fieldwork as you are in a room of debates. The seminars which are often held are very insightful for having a clearer look towards our field and the diversity of learning from designing to creative writing makes this the best college to pursue the course from. As I mentioned, I am a final year student of BA(JMC). I got a call for direct admission after filling the online form. Your course might have different eligibility criteria than mine, so the best option is to go through the official website for more details.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent, I'll say. Most of my batch mates interned with Prime news some of them were in anchoring while others took the way to print media. There are a lot of companies that will come looking for interns, although they do not offer much there will be plenty of time to earn after you have learned and gained the experience. I took an internship which paid me 5000 INR monthly as a content writing intern. The placement cell of the college is good and it features a lot of known news organizations. You'll have to take placement exams in your final year where the pay may vary from 3 L p.a to 6 L p.a depending majorly on your skills and experience.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is quite feasible as compares to any other institution for BA(JMC). Although the fee structure keeps changing, I paid 15000 in my first year for two semesters, 10000 in my second year and 11,200 in my last year. The total fees for three years summing up to 31,200 INR.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the college will leave you amazed. There is a beautiful auditorium where all our guest lectures take place along with many other lecture rooms for our daily classes. The cafeteria is filled with all college gossips and mirthful ambiance.
Admission
Monad University releases an online admission form along with an amount of 6000 INR of Demand Draft, I opted to fill the online form and NEFT the amount to the account details provided in the official site. One can also opt for direct admission by visiting the college directly where admission forms are provided in hand and you can deposit the amount in cash. Different courses have different criteria for admission, I am a final year student of BA(JMC) so I will talk about the criteria in my field. To get admitted for your bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communication at Monad University, you have to score 45% in any stream (40% for ST/SC) from a reputed board. After you've filled the form, you will receive a call regarding the further process of your admission.
Faculty
If we talk about the faculty, I'll say I'm blessed to be a part of this organisation and the faculty is the major reason. Apart from bookish knowledge, the professors often encourages us to go in field, shoot pictures during the class and make documentaries. Every professor has deep knowledge about the subject that he is teaching and value your opinion and say.
