Course Curriculum Overview

The course Curriculum is meticulously planned and well executed by the educators. There were moot court sessions also which gave us a real life experience. Emphasis is laid on both coursework and practical work.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college has a training and placement cell which assists the students in applying for summer training programmes. The average placement rate is around 65-70 percent and it may differ according to the department. Students can get internships either independently or through college. There is a proper screening procedure in place.

College Events

4.5

The college conducts seminars , workshops and talk sessions regularly which teach us something new in a fun and interesting way. Industrial visits are organsied which are helpful not only for those who are studying technical courses but also for those in non technical courses as they learn to manage and make strategies for business.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is feasible and it is not very expensive. The college and the facilities it provides is worth the money. The fees for ba llb was around 94,000 for a year. The fees for other courses like the technical ones is quite high. The fees for other courses which are non technical is nominal. The fees can be paid online.

Fees and Financial Aid

50% - 80% scholarships are granted to meritorious students. 100% scholarship is granted to students belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. However, these scholarships are subjected to the state and university regulations.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is quite good. There are well equipped computer labs, spacious central Library and also departmental libraries. The university provides sports facilities also. Sports like cricket, football and kabaddi are played by both boys and girls. There is a moot court , studio, art court, machine lab, pharma lab, museum and a gym for the fitness freaks. Besides studies, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits are also held in the university which give a great exposure to the students.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is upto the mark. The rooms are spacious, well ventilated, neat and clean. The food prepared is vegetarian and the mess area is also clean. The hostel fee is also not very high.

Admission

There are four ways in which admission can be taken in this university. Admission can be taken through both online or offline modes. Both the mediums require the submission of a college admission form (which can be downloaded from the website) and the payment of 6000 rupees. I had applied through the online medium and the procedure was usee friendly .

Faculty

4

The faculties are well qualified and they have to pass through stringent screening procedures before they are hired. They teach in an interesting way and I learn something new everyday. They teach course curriculum in a different way which helps us in getting our concepts cleared.

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Placement Experience:

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Placement Experience:

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
