Entrance Preview

MAT in 2010 September and score 87 percentile. I chose the Sathyabama University as it is one of the well known University in South India.

Course Curriculum Overview

Courses offered in MBA at Sathyabama University are Dual Specialization. The courses are as follows Marketing and HR, Marketing and Financec, HR and Finance, Marketing and Systems.

Internships Opportunities

My internship was in Big Bazaar, Express Avenue. The topic was in "Satisfaction of customers" through various services and offers offered at Big Bazaar.

Placement Experience

Placement was decent as there always lots of Companies flowing to the Campus to intake students. But I didn't joined any as I have to get back to Assam and settle here.

College Events

Being one of the Major Pvt University in Chennai, Sathyabama Students get ample opportunies in Joining various events such as Tech Fest, Cultural Festival during Christmas time and also Job Fairs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a big opportunity for meritous students bearing quota. Those scoring above 70% gets scholarship. I have personally seen one of my friend getting a cheque worth above a Lakh for scoring 70% in all 3 semesters. That ofcourse you have to be a guy having quota SC, ST, OBC. Otherwise I would have got more than 2 lakh.

Campus Life

Campus life in Sathyabama is good if you want to spend your college life in a University where you will get some extras like Various Workshops, Sports, Industrial Visits, Debate competitions, Seminars by Guest from ISRO, IITs etc.

Exam Structure

Exams consist of 2 sessional Exams before the final Semester with Labs consist of ORACLE, C++, SPSS.

Faculty

Faculty in Sathyabama University are very good. They are very helpful in all aspects of your study life. Also there are some guest lectures from other well known Universities and also lots of Seminars where Big personalities are being invited to share various thoughts and encourage Students.

My experience about my college

Placement Experience:

Actually the student of last semester student only participate in campus interview in a campus interview. they will selected 15 to 20 people in a campus interview. they don't select all the people and they came from local companies near by Salem.village area companies like a factories like cement company , manufacturing companies soda packaging company like that company offered as management training for the one year they will provide 15 to 20000 there will be a increment and promotions on that manufacturing companies . the student selected in campus interview they was well educated student and well known student about the MBA concept and they didn't they didn't fail in any subject they clear all the papers and get the good marks even first class students they are better but my interest was in local companies so I choose to go in big MNC companies but in my college they don't offer campus interview for the big companies they call only local companion so I don't have interested at local companies.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.

First of all, the infrastructure and the reviews among the people played a greater role in selecting this college. The college has a very good infrastructure and the campus is always lit.
