Course Curriculum Overview
The duration of the course is 12 months. This program is designed for law students who want to change their course and work in the financial & banking industry. The students are also given an extensive training in the legal investment & securities market in India. The course offers in depth knowledge about core subjects like market regulation and investment issues, competition and insolvency laws, regulation of financial institutions. It also focuses on learning the tools related to the securities & finance transactions which might be helpful in understanding the nature and kind of disputes that often arise in a financial market industry.
Placement Experience
The recruiting companies that visit our campus are HDFC bank, Yes bank, Wipro, Funds India, NCDEX, SBI mutual fund, Stock holding corporation of India etc. They select candidates for the roles of financial analyst, research manager, security manager, portfolio manager etc. The highest salary offered was 12 lpa and the average was 5 lpa. Internships in IDBI bank, Yes bank etc were provided ti students so that they can understand the financial market better.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees for candidates belong to India are 2,16,575 which is to be paid in first installment. The fees for NRI candidates are 1,56,275.The hostel charges for single occupancy with Ac is 95,000 for one year. Moreover the industry sponsored students have to pay approve 2.6 L for one semester. For me the fees is quite feasible seeing the facilities that are provided to us.
Fees and Financial Aid
The students who have secured top rank in the previous examination are given 50% tuition wavier. The students who belong to economically backward section whose parents family income is less than 4 lpa are given concession of 50% in the tuition fees for the first term. 50% wavier is also given to students from reserved category. Those who have scored a minimum of 75% in CAT/ATMA/MAT are also provided with 50% wavier in the fees.
Campus Life
Sports activities like football, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, cricket etc are held in our college every year to boost the morale of students. Events such as face painting, sculpturing, singing, dancing, beat boxing, baking and many more are organised by the student council of the college for the candidates to showcase their talent. Various workshops on securities & investment market are held from time to time to tell the students about the banking & securities industries in detail.
Admission
The students who are industry sponsored or working in the industry need to appear for the All India Entrance Test . this is in the form of online interview. Other than that the people who are working in RBI, SEBI, IRDA, CCI, IBBI and the other market securities like BSE, MCX, NSDL, NSE , government departments , judiciaries who have been working for a period of three years are also eligible to apply.The selection will thus be based on merit. If any NRI or foreign candidate want to take admission is also selected based on online interview.
Faculty
The teachers of the college are really helpful and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They posses a good knowledge about the securities market. Our doubts related to financial securities and stock exchanges are always answered on their behalf. The guest lectures also give us insights about the market exchange, NIFTY, financial markets etc so that we become industry ready to go in the financial sector.
