Course Curriculum Overview
The core study areas of masters in plastic engineering include polymer process engineering, polymer science /properties/characterization and about polymer blends.The lectures on this wide subjects are supplemented with an extensive range of lab projects and exercises.The duration of the course is two years and this course provides us with an in depth understanding of the traditional commodities such as specialty polymers and plastics which have a major need in pharmaceutical fields and biomedical research.
Placement Experience
Many top companies visit our college to recruit students for the role of Technical service specialist, Corporate sales manger , Plastic engineer , Polymer chemistry scientist and many more . The highest package offered was around 12 lpa and the minimum was 4 lpa. Internships are also offered by our college to those students who want to gain work experience .
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is 20,000 per semester . The hostel & mess charges are to be separately paid.A caution money deposit of 1000 is to be made at the time of admission.There is also a supplementary examination fees of 250 which needs to be deposited per practical or theory paper.
Campus Life
There are many kinds of sessions and cultural activities organised by our student cell.Many sports events such as football, volleyball , basketball etc are held in our college to boost the morale of the students other than in activities.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors of our college are really helpful. We also have an alumni cell which organises events in which the current and the college pass-outs can interact with each other and share their experiences.The seniors really help us in improving our course of action and what measures we should take to avoid any error in future.
Admission
You need to have passed the undergraduate program in B.E/B.Tech/B.sc in Production/Polymer/Mechanical/Plastics engineering etc.Those who have pursued M.sc in polymer science with polymer specialization are also eligible to apply , but they need to have a valid GATE score.If we get on to the selection criteria it is based on the merit score of CIPET JEE. You can apply online for this course.I have good a good score in CIPET and was later called for documentation process. After that I was granted admission in the college.
Faculty
The teachers of the college are well trained and experienced. The average age of the faculty members here is about 40-55 years.They teach us with practical models rather than just emphasizing on the theory area. Our queries related to the subject are duly met out by our teachers.
