Anamika's Review On H.D. Jain College, Arrah

The course curriculum here is completely different from anywhere else. You get to study economics and psychology together, which have been my favorite subjects from my schooling days. Economics students are supported by teachers if they want to conduct research and publish their own paper. University exams test our knowledge in the best way possible.

I course I was a part of not offers much of placement opportunities. Most students of my course further do their higher studies or apply for government jobs. However, our college supported us by providing assistance for the government jobs we wanted to apply. Placements are though offered to other course students like bcom and bba on a regular basis.

The fees of the college has been on the feasible side always. Major reason being, it is a public college and students from different backgrounds come here to study. It is easy to afford fees of this college, and further fee concession is provided to students coming from backward class societies.

The gender ratio has been pretty much 1:1. Everyone, no matter from whatever background he/she comes from is treated equally. No discrimination is tolerated on the campus, if anyone found doing so, serves severe punishment from the college authorities. The ground of our college is always filled with people and students playing different sports.

The courses offered by VKSU are entirely different from other universities. Here, I can study both economics and psychology as major subjects, that made me choose this course and HD Jain College is one of the most reputed college of VKSU, so the choice of college was obvious. After I chose my course and college getting in seemed so simple. Taking and filling the offline admission form, then being present at the campus for document verification and counselling session.

The teachers in my department have always been way too supportive towards students. Especially towards students who have difficulty to learn any subject. The college is one of the oldest institute in Bihar, so all the teachers have years of experience of how to deal with different students.
