Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are quite affordable as compared to the other engineering college in the city. My per year fees is INR 103300. The college has also many scholarship programmes such as Scholarship for Parentless Students, Single Girl Child Scholarship and a 51% discount on tuition fees, Sports Scholarship, Scholarship offered by Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust (Regd.)

Campus Life

In my college, cultural, management festivals, annual function, teacher's day etc. Festivals are celebrating by students. The college has the best open-air theatre and its function is done there. Many events are celebrated which spread joy among the students. The main role is to divert their mind from studies for a while so that he won't go under pressure.

Admission

I got admission after completing my 10+2 from a science background. But Physics, Maths and Chemistry is compulsory in 10+2, to take admission in this course with a minimum 45% for general and compulsory 40% marks for SC/ST Students in aggregate. A candidate can fill the offline form by Attaching the self-attested copies of the documents and then submit all the documents to SBBSU admission desk.

Faculty

4

there is no single faculty which can be named as good because everyone is the best in their respective specialization. Faculties are very good they have superb teaching skills. They even guide you in other things like extra curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
