Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well planned and up to date. We are exposed to many new topics, guest lecturers are often invited to make sure we students are well updated in our field. The portions are manageable and the exams are about moderate. They review our exam papers with a grade point system.
Placement Experience
The placements are good and at the end of the course, a common placement brochure is published to all the students. The placement cell officials will take care of bringing the companies to the campus and they will also give placement training for the students. In the 2017-2019 batch, most of the students are placed.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are around 1.5 lakhs per annum which is very much affordable as there are many private universities that will be even more expensive and hard to afford. Apart from this, there will be exam fees, and money would be required to pay for project work and many other additional expenses which are reasonable.
Campus Life
NIPER host weekly sport event like badminton competition, TT tournament, Chess Competition. They have many equipment like bioanalyzer, NMR, fluorescence spectrometer, and pharmaceutical labs for research purposes. The students have access to all the equipment and can use it for their project or research work.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is good and up to standards. Rooms are separate for boys and girls and the hostel fees are very cheap. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a bed, study table, cupboard to keep your stuff. The rooms are well maintained by the workers daily. The mess food is decent and hygienic.
Admission
I completed my B.Sc in pharma with 75% in aggregate and wanted to do M.Sc so I wrote the NIPER JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION organized by NIPER and cleared the exam. Then I was called for counseling. There are only 15 seats that are available so chances of getting a seat in the college are very difficult.
Faculty
The faculty members are approachable, well experienced, their teaching is good, and also cleared all the doubts when asked. Dr. Abha Sharma is the dean of the pharma department and also the most favored professor who teaches a number of subjects but Stereochemistry and Drug Action is one of her strong forts.
