Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is reviewed periodically and well designed and the departments conduct lots of workshops, seminars, and exhibitions for the students to get more exposure to the world of art. The course is planned in such a way that the students can take part in serious research on their topics.

Placement Experience

3

The placements and job opportunities are okay. The candidates mostly get exposure more in the government sector as it is a government college but some got teaching jobs in some reputed schools and colleges. For internships, one should try by themselves and if you have a good rap with the faculty then you can ask for their help to get an internship at a reputed place with their influence.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible and for a 3-year undergraduate course for B.V.A the total pay was around 40-50 thousand rupees which is very much better as it is a government college and not a private one where the fees would be more expensive

Campus Life

They have a good infrastructure for sports, labs, and other activities. They have two separate gym and yoga centers for both boys and girls. The University conducts campus sports every year like kabaddi, kho-kho, and indoor games like chess and carrom.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is good for both boys and girls. It has been constructed by the social welfare department. Gym facility is available in the boys hostel. The canteen food is okay and can accommodate about 100 people there.

Admission

Kannada university offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses. I applied for a bachelor of visual arts and the application process was completely offline and I got my application form and another brochure from the campus. My admission was based on the merit system. After submitting the application I was called for the documentation process after a few days.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members were friendly and easy to approach for help. Dr.Mohanrao whose the assist professor has the highest qualification (Ph.D) and specializes in painting, sculpture, and mural design art. They have connections with many established centers of visual arts in our country and they also invited many wonderful guest lecturers who were also good at teaching.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.
