Remarks
Being a student of the Rayalaseema University, I can whole-heartedly recommend the University to anyone wanting to pursue a Bachelors or Master's or even PhD without burning their pockets. This University has great supportive faculties, degree programs are versatile and a place with mesmerizing scenic beauty around you. Anyone will love to study at Rayalaseema University.
Course Curriculum Overview
The studying experience is great in respect to other business universities as Rayalaseema University has excellent faculty and flexible course structure. The course curriculum is regularly updated and are mainly focused on practice rather than just theory. Each semester has atleast 6 subjects and the final semester exams are held at the end of a semester while there are regular class tests and assignments which help me remain engrossed in the studies. The passing criteria is to get atleast 35% in each subject and totally there are four semester in two year.
Placement Experience
The placement cell here at Rayalaseema University is quite good and brings many reputed companies for on-campus placements. Some of the recruiting companies are Aurobindo Pharma, HDFC Bank, ICICI, IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank, TATA Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, Water Health, Wipro. The highest salary offered to a M.Com graduate is Rs. 48,000 per month and the lowest salary is around Rs. 24,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 32,000 per month. Nearly about 80% of the students from my batch got internships with a package of roughly around Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The best part of studying at Rayalaseema University is that the semester fee is just Rs. 9,000/- excluding books, living costs, etc., which makes its very affordable for students coming from a low or middle class background to study M.Com. Though the fee structure varies from college to college and some might charge a bit more than you would expect. If so, then there is an option to apply for scholarships.
Campus Life
Our University organises regular workshops, seminars, Tech Fests, inter-college tournaments, sports events (like football, cricket, etc.), Fresher's parties and the list goes on and on.I have spent 4 years now, in studying Bachelors and Masters, but never have I faced any sort of discrimination and this is a very important factor for a good college life. The Gender Ratio is 1:0.74 of Male:Female. Being a non technical student I don't have much idea of the tech related events, but as per my knowledge there happens to be a lot of activities in the domain.
Admission
The University conducts it's own Entrance exam and getting through it is not that hard. For the application process, I had to submit an application form through the RUPGCET portal. Admission was provided based on the score obtained in Rayalaseema University Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (RUPGCET). After the RUPGCET scores were declared, I was called for the counselling, which was followed by the verification of original documents. For the application, I had to pay a processing fee of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 400/- or Rs. 300/- in case of General or SC/ST/PHC category candidates respectively). I paid the application fee using my Debit Card through they provide an option to pay using Debit/Credit card or Net Banking. Having completed my B.Com from Rayalaseema University, I considered doing my Masters from there because of the high quality course materials and the flexible course curriculum. Being an alumni I had many connections which helped me a lot in many ways.
