Course Curriculum Overview

4

The B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at the Sant Baba Bhag Singh University followed a standard four year course curriculum divided into eight semesters. The course is designed for the students to develop a leadership role and conduct research in the field of Mechanical Engineering that benefit the society.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell has been working to get as many recruiters as possible for the campus placements. Various companies have attended the campus placements like Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Axis Bank, Dish TV among others giving out a decent salary package too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for the first year was Rs. 1,03,300 that was divided in two installments. One of which had to be paid at the time of the admission, while the other half during the second semester. Further on, the fees for the remaining three years was Rs. 1,00,300 per year. The fees is feasible when compared to other engineering colleges.

Campus Life

3.5

Sant Baba Bhag Singh University is known for celebrating cultural events and festivals. Apart from this, the college also conducts various seminars and workshops for the benefit of students. The annual day, sports day, fresher's party and farewell party are some other events conducted by the student council.

Admission

The admission process was available online as well as offline. After visiting the university website, clicking on the admission link got me to the registration form. After filling out all the details and documents, I had to visit the university to complete the further formalities.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering department are M.Tech graduates. The teachers always helped out students - in or out of the lectures. They used all their experience and knowledge while teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course will be completed on time, but you'll not get taught as you expected. The teaching techniques are boring, and you'll have difficulty. They charge you 2000 rupees as late fees for submission and so on, for the late exam fees as well. There are a lot of unnecessary fees that they will apply once you get admission there

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
