Entrance Preview

I gave XAT and scored 81 percentile. I choose IBA as i was impressed by the college environment, course details and placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course details were very good and were in-line with the current market practises. Moreover it offered dual specialization which was an advantage. The course focused on deep theoretical learning supported by practical learning. Lots of assignments and case studies.

Internships Opportunities

Internship's were not so great with limited support from the college. But few students really got good internships.No stipend was offered. But i guess now they have a proper internship program.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are above average with fortune 500 companies registered for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, E&Y, TCS, ICICI, KPMG, Abbot, Capgemini, etc to name a few. Avg salary: 6LPA.

College Events

IBA conducts many technical, cultural, management festivals every year such as international conferences, Archish, National level management fests. It also participates in other national level management fests across India.

Life on campus is great with lush green campus and mix of events happening all the time. Great welcome and send-off parties. Celebrations of all the Indian festivals with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni support is great with Alumni meet happening every year. Alumni come to their Alma Matter and share their experience with current students and also help them with opportunities with various organizatios.

Faculty

Faculty was good. Guest lecturers were great having huge experience in corporate world.They brought lot of their experience from corporate to classrooms, which really boosted the students learnings in understanding the corporate environment before getting into it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage

My masters journey

Admission:

Admissions are granted on the basis of PGCET conducted by the VTU university in order to offer admissions to a PG program. I applied for the MBA program by downloading the form. You have to pay the application form fee, as well. After that I was called for the counselling process. The management was very much supportive during the admission process.

I scored 62% in graduation from Venkatehswar college and after sitting for MAT and scoring 87 percentile, i received the brochure of college. I wanted to know about the college so i contacted a few education portals and did some research online and decided to take admission in it.

I applied for Indus Business Academy for the PGDM program. I was looking for a college that has a stronghold in Finance vertical as well as a college that is budget-friendly. I was very much attracted to the offerings of Indus Business Academy and therefore I applied for admission to the college. Indus Business Academy provides 100% placement and the companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and GT come for placement in the college with good packages. The college accepts CAT, XAT, MAT and CMAT for the admission process. The minimum cut-off is 50 percentile. If the student is qualified then a telephonic round is conducted by the college. In this round, basic questions are asked like personal details and academic. This round is basically conducted for testing the communication ability of the student.
