Remarks

Overall it is a decent college (I must admit it wasn't the best college, but lets face facts, out CAT scores were also not very great). But among its peers, I'd say its a good college. The facilities are there, but you have to go and get it for yourself. Don't expect atmosphere like an IIM.

Entrance Preview

I wrote CAT. EMPI B School focuses on Entrepreneurship so I opted for it among other B Schools of the same cader

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Not many choices in electives. But the overall experience was good. The top B Schools make sure that you get the required experience. EMPI gives you chances to get it, but it does not make sure.Lets face it. We didn't do great in CAT or else we wouldn't be looking at this institute

Internships Opportunities

Most of us ot the internship through our own contacts. I got mine with HUL (Then HLL). It was great. The alumni were also helful. But you have to make your own relationship with them

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement was not very easy. Companies were not looking for students for EMPI. But at the same time most of the students got placed in decent companies in decent positions.Lets accept it. It can't be compared to the IIMS.

College Events

3.5

There were regular events, both cultural and official. It was a vibrant atmosphere. Most of the events were organised by the students and the experience was good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I don't remember the exact details, but compared to the CTC offered, it was slightly expensive. But they were offering Laptop's etc.It was a fully residential course

Fees and Financial Aid

Some banks were offering Educational Loans. I don't remember any scholarship being offered. It was majorly self funded or through Bank Loans

Campus Life

2.5

The gender ratio's were normal. Almost 30% to 40% were girls. There were many workshops for learning different aspects of Business. There was no discrimination for gender, race, religion, etc

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facilities were decent and the mess food was like any other mess food. You can't expect it to be like home food, but it wasn't bad either.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network wasn't very great, but the students used to be in touch with the alumni which helped a lot with internships and final placements. The alumni were also generally helpful to the students.

Exam Structure

There were mid term exams and final exams. Midterm contributed to the final score. The exams format was the normal format wherein you write answers to the questions in the question paper.

Faculty

3

Some of the faculy like Manocha sir and Manocha Mam, J M Pant sir, etc were very good.Few faculty could have been replaced, but overall it was a good learning experience.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 4th trimester onwards. The placement rate is consistently nearby 100%. Prominent recruiters include Delloite, KPMG, Pwc, EY and market firms like Motilal Oswal, Oxane and ICICI Bank. The average domestic package stands comfortably around 12,40,000 and the top 10% of the batch secures close to over 16,00,000. Prominent roles offered include - Management Trainee, Financial Analyst and Consulting roles for finance students. My immediate plans after the degree is to secure a core placement in an Equity Research Role.

Placement Experience:

LBSIM offers good placement support with students becoming eligible after the summer internship. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG,EY ,Infosys, Accenture, ICICI Bank and Wipro visit the campus. The average package is around 12 to 13 lakhs per annum with higher offer offers for top performers, placement support, industry, exposure and alumni guidance are strong. I plan to pursue a business analytics role after completing the course.
