Remarks

The faculty of this college was A-one and teachers really helped us to understand challenges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is actually for 4years for a 12th pass-out student but for lateral entry students, the course duration is 3 years only. It's a semester based programme means we have to give semester wise exams every 6 months. This is related to Pharmaceutical industry and we did training also for 3 months in Psychotropic india Limited related to manufacturing of tablets, Capsules, Syrups and powders. My current Job is related to this studies only.

Placement Experience

4

The companies were many. I remember a few - Ranbaxy Pharmaceutical, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Glaxo-smithkline, Astrazeneca, Abbott India. The general process of selection was first written exam followed by group discussion and then One to One with the HR or other associates of the companies. The tentative %age of students placed every year was more than 75%. No such measures were taken for placement preparations but companies called most by college authorities only.

College Events

2.5

No such festivals will be celebrated. Only one fairwell sort of festival held every year. Whole college will join that farewell and sixty to seventy students participate in various drama and other activities. We also participated in it when we are part of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program fees was ?60000 per year and mode of payment was either cheque or cash. No need to pay any additional fees/charges in order to secure an admission to my course. No we just got a receipt of deposit of our money in the college account. There were no bifurgation of the amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

I hadn't opted for any education loan. And it was a private college so no scholarship opportunities are there.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was not so good and not so bad. As this college is situated in a rural area, the facilities were very limited. The gender ratio was 60:5 means 60 boys vs only 5 girls in a semester class. The Labs were really good and the faculty was helpful.

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes we opted for hostel as well. It was in the college premises only. It's sharing rooms in the hostel and 3 students had to share one room. One BED and ONE Almirah is alloted to every student. The food was not of very great quality and sanitation was really poor. We were have 6 showers and 6 toilets on every floor. And each floor took care of 24 students.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior student were really helpful and took best care of us. They gave a us all the notes and practical session updates.

Admission

After completion of Diploma in Pharmacy, I have applied for Bachleor in Pharmacy lateral entry course in U.P. Technical University and on the basis of Merit in entrance exam I got this Rajiv Academy for Pharmacy. My selection into this college done in year 2004.

Faculty

4.5

The tentative number of lectures was 2240 for the complete course. The average age of our faculty teachers were 45 yrs and mostly were M.Pharma aur PH.D. Graduates. The Pharmaceutical Chemistry teacher has industry experience and he is a certified manufacturing Chemist.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
