Remarks

Every worker of college and its management work to their maximum capability. One thing that is bad is college's infrastructure. Lecture theaters are of poor quality. No dining area for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Exam curriculum is mostly well driven. There are 4 proffessionals each of 1 year except 2nd professional which is of 1 and a 1/2 year. In initial professionals Non-clinical subjects like Anatomy,Physiology,Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic medicine are covered followed by Clinical subjects like medicine and surgery in final prpfessionals. Students directly get job in Government sector as there is already scarcity of doctors in the society.

Placement Experience

5

There is nothing like engineering college here. Every graduated Dr. gets a job in government sector. One year internship is compulsory for everyone and a bond of one year in rural areas. Afyer the completion of internship of one year in any medical college of the same state Dr. can apply for concermed jobs according to his/her qualifications or he/she is eligible to appear in NEET Pg Exam.

College Events

2.5

As it si a college of doctors, more importance is given to academics than cultural events. On the name of events Cultural fest named - RHYTHM is organised every year. It is quite a good Fest where different activities related to cultural, fine arts, literary, sports are organised and prizes are distributed to concerned winners.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Every student has to pay a fee of 1 lac every year (current data) but when i was admitted i had to pay a fee of 50,000 rs. Students of SC/ST/OBC get a scholarship from state government. Other scholarship programmes are also in function according to the policies of state and central government. An ectra LFA (fund for other activities) is charged to every student per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarships which are provided by State and central governments are applicable for the course. As SC/ST/OBC students get the scholarship from the state government. Medhavi chhatra yojna is the one which provide scholarship to students who scored a good marks in 12th standards.

Campus Life

1.5

Everyone is pretty busy in there studies and hospital duties. Gender ratio is quite good, about 50%. everyone lives with a hormony. No racism on the basis of gender, race, colour etc. A JDA(Junior doctors associatio ) is chosen every year who puts the problems of students in front of authorities.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are two UG Boys hostels and one Pg boys hostel And 2 girls hostels. Hostel rooms are quite good but there is very much shortage of rooms. Many students have to live outside of hostels on rent ito PGs or private hostels. Hostel fee is 12000 / year. Cleaning agencies are given tenders. They take care of cleaning of hostel bathrooms and general cleaning pretty well. For security, security gurds are recruited.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors play an important role in guiding juniors in choosing specialities and guiding in carrier.

Admission

I always wanted to be a doctor because of novelty of this profession. This institute is oldest medical college in M.P. and 17th medical college in India, it provides a good quality education and practuse to future Drs. To take admission in this college one has to qualify an exam named NEET(National eligibility cum entrance test)currently conducted by NTA and based on the rankings one can apply for colleges across M.P. and India. After getting selection one has to go through counselling process where he/she has to provide all the valid documents regarding Academics, Identity, income, residence etc. After the process of counselling is completed admission is complete.

Faculty

3.5

There are lectures assisted by power point presentation by highly qualified Specialist of that particular subject. Number of lectures of a particular subject depend on length of the subject. Course is generally completed in 4 and a 1/2 half year and a one year internship. Average age of graduation is somewhat 22-23 years. Along with lectures practical examinations and clinical postings are scheduled to enhance the understanding of the subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This curriculum is one the few best developed ones which provides real time problem solving at an actual working facility. The medical college is a part of a tertiary care government hospital to provide , train and allow students to apply the knowledge acquired to utilise to treat the patient under the supervision and guidance of the faculty cum doctors at the hospital. The student feels the pride and responsibility of becoming a doctor and the special attribute the profession holds as a life savior of the society. The curriculum is constantly under modification and scrutiny under the nmc with several reforms over the past decades. Few aspects where more improvement might be done is the more clinical teaching at the initial years of course., which is currently started from 3-4 year. The exams are held often frequently with an internal assessment every 3-4 months followed by a pre- university and university exams each year. The exams hold a difficulty level of above average, making only the ones genuinely preparing for it to pass the exam. The passing percentage is 50 for each exam individually for practical and theoretical exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a professional course and you do need skills to treat patients as it may become a matter of life and death. The teaching curriculum is as per the guidelines of NMC which is a central body and consists again of great doctors with reputation all over India. So, I don't really think that I can really suggest any means to improve that.

To do something great for mankind and for society influences me to join mbbs. Cbme is new curriculum of mbbs which more focusing on clinical skills of a student. Areas of improvement is cbme includes integrated learning but most college don't follow it so nmc should be strict for it. Two sessions exam in year and pre university exam and final University exam this exam includes both theory and practical and these are difficult for you if you're are not study through out the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a professional course and gives one responsible work for life. There are many reasons for one to choose MBBS in their career line. GMC Khandwa is affiliated with MPMSU (Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University-Jabalpur). Faculty in every department is well qualified and experienced. Student Teacher ratio is quite good in college. Although the college is newly opened in 2017 and started students intake in 2018, there are some departments in which some faculty members are required more but are not sufficient due to slow recruitment. But I am very much sure that this loophole will soon be filled as being in pioneer batches, we have seen the growth and development of the college in these years. So we believe in an ongoing process by management. Exams schedule is based on guidelines provided by MPMSU.
