Ultimately, different schools are looking for different characteristics, yet many overarching qualities are sought by all. While schools like Harvard use a thorough rubric and rigorous application review process for the 5. 2 percent of applicants they accept, institutions with less competition have more lenient requirements. Regardless of the school, the main characteristics an admissions panel looks for is an impressive academic career, demonstration of extracurricular and leadership interests, quality of written work, and solid recommendations from professionals who understand their potential.

Course Curriculum Overview

The previous chapter describes seven principles that support learning with understanding. This chapter explores the implications of those principles for the intentional and systemic design of four key elements of the educational system—curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development—to promote learning with understanding within the context of advanced study. It is critical to recognize that programs for advanced study share many of the objectives of other programs in the same discipline; these design principles, therefore, also apply to the design and development of mathematics and science courses at all levels.

Placement Experience

5

In these placements, college invites several companies to their campuses to recruit students studying in that college. After analyzing different skills being taught by the college and the CV, company sets some criteria to qualify in several rounds and finally get a job in that company. Students who fulfil all the criteria and qualify in each and every round get selected.

College Events

5

On-campus events play an important role in shaping the social and intellectual fabric of your university’s campus. But if you want to draw a crowd, you’ll need to look beyond the standard fare. Lectures, study groups, and job fairs all have their place, but college students, especially freshman, are looking for new and authentic ways to connect. Make your on-campus event stand out with these Instagram-worthy event ideas.

Hostel Facilities

Parents too are willing to bear that extra cost to fund their child's higher education. Education loan is the most cost effective means to fund your education if you are unable to get a full scholarship or do not have a generous aunt or uncle willing to sponsor your education. Though most banks do provide education loan, it is the public sector banks that are in the forefront in providing education loans. In recent years, a large number of students, especially those pursuing professional courses in India or abroad, are availing of education loans. According to latest data from the Reserve Bank of India, education loans disbursed by Indian banks rose 51 per cent to Rs 15, 000 crore for the financial year ending March 2007 from Rs 9, 962 crore at the end of March 2006.

Alumni/Alumna

A lot of alumni networks are almost as old as their alma maters. At the start, most of these associations were entirely voluntary, supported solely by individual alumni. Volunteers maintained mailing lists, collected dues to support activities, produced publications, organized events and annual meetings. The world of Alumni Relations has come a long way since its inception in the early eighteenth-century. They became a vital part of most of the educational institutions now thanks to the efforts of many outstanding professionals in Alumni Relations. A good alumni network benefits the institution, current students and as well as its Alumni. It is a win-win situation for everyone.

Admission

Teacher quality includes ability to deliver sound content with ease of understanding by students. In addition to using students to measure teacher performance, a senior and experienced person in the area being evaluated can be used and usually external evaluator or blind evaluation is best. Using the peers who are in same college or faculty could be sentimental.
