My College

It taught me a good lesson of life. Yes, college is not only about bookish knowledge but the place to built your personality in some or the other way. Approach was built by the campus. But I can say from college it was just below par.

Course curriculum is decent in terms of knowledge but staff is not so student friendly and has less ability of teaching rather finish off the portion and move on attitude. But few very few are aware of what and how students in commerce college need to be treated.

I have never experienced anything related to placement and internship but what I heard is very decent in terms of companies visiting our campus.

Freshers, annual gathering, sports day are the main events to boost students. As I'm from commerce college we hardly had any college fest, but there would be cultural fest which was not so rich in terms of students management experience. But it was fun for 2 days.

Feasible I would say. Mode of payment was to deposit cash in bank which was in our campus on challan provided by office staff. Not much of additional fees asked by college apart from exam fees. And that was very much upto looking at the staff, faculty and infra.

No did not opt for any scholarships or education loan. There was scholarships only for the students whose marks are upto the mark. Was expecting sports scholarship but never did it happen.

Yes campus was not so huge but it was very happy environment all over. The most happening place was gymkhana as there were many games like badminton, table tennis, carrom, chess, snooker etc. There was annual interclass games which was one of the best part. Ratio must be 2:1, 2 for male and 1 for female.

No I did not opt for hostel as I was localite. But what I heard from friends ya it was not so happy place in terms of facilities. But very much manageable for the male students. But female students had to face many problems. But they were living there very happily.

We were never told about alumni network in 5 years nor we tried to know about it. Ya seniors were very friendly and helpful in all the aspects.

I wanted to persue Commerce so applied into this college as it is one of the best commerce college in North Karnataka. And being a sports person I was aware of the support given by college. After 10th result I applied into this college and my name appeared in the 2nd list, so without wasting my time I paid admission fees and a very nominal donation.

Tentative number of lecturers was around 15 in my course. Average age must be 45 along with good qualification of PG rank. Due to just teach and move on attitude it lacked respect from students. Access to the few faculty was very much easy and friendly.
