Good college

Its a very good college. Only suggestion is that the infrastructure could have been better. Lab facilities can be improved. More campus placement needs to be offered to the students.

The course is very career oriented. Though the number of industries in this field are limited, there are few specific industries where we can work. Many industrial visits were also organised by the college. The education provided in the institution has helped many students to secure campus placements.

Microbiology has limited job options. The companies that visited are AGS, Parikshan, and Domex Edata. Almost 40% of the students are placed on campus. Placement could have been better. Recruitment drive generally started with a written test, followed by on-campus and off-campus interviews.

Srishti and Maithri are the two popular annual cultural fests. Maithri is for the students of the college. Srishti involves participants from other colleges as well. Apart from these, Sports fest, and departmental activities are conducted as well. All the students are encouraged to participate in these events. There are awards and certificates given to the students.

The fee per semester is 30,000. Payment is done through internet banking. No additional fees were collected from the students. The students are provided with transparency in the fee breakdown. We are given the breakdown for what the fees have been collected from us.

Lot of scholarship opportunities are available. They are mainly based on the students' performance and financial background.

I personally feel it is an honor to study in this college. It is a women's college. Everyone is made to feel welcome here regardless of their religion, economic status. There are many clubs in our college. To name few, rotary club, lions club, ethics, debate, books, fine arts etc.

The seniors have been very helpful in providing us the required notes. All of them are friendly and are ready to help us anytime.

I always wanted to do my masters in my field. Ethiraj is well-known college in Chennai. So I tried applying. Admission to this college is not easy unless you have good marks. Application process is easy. You pay the application fee, get an application, fill in, and submit. If selected, you will be called for an interview at the department. After validation of documents, the professors will decide if you are eligible for studying.

Faculty of the college are experienced and qualified. There are 14 lecturers in the department. Most of them hold doctorates and help students. They have plenty of knowledge in their field and do not think twice for helping us. The staff are very friendly and help the students in their projects and publishing their papers.
