Remarks

All was good except that they awarded some scholorship to me but was never paid and that always hurts me rest all was best.

Entrance Preview

I tried IIT but failed in mains and I had good marks in 12th Board and I passed PET so to save a year I choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose E&C (electronics & communication). Our batch was the first batch. It was newly built. All labs were new. We did not faced any issue in any of the subject at all, as it was smooth.

Internships Opportunities

As it was getting establish so was not much of companies visit at our time. However I was lucky as with 2 of my friends we were selected for Internship at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Pune. We were offered around 3500 Rs/Month.

Placement Experience

2.5

Not great, However again lucky as with 3 friends I was placed to Vikram Cement Aditya Birla Group at package of 1.4 LPA. There was not much companies visited, However with the time everybody got placed and today everyone is doing great in his field.

College Events

4

It was full of fun. We organized many events in 4 years time. There were annual functions, there were Competitions for all the colleges of Engineering for Sports. We celebrated Sports days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible. We were charged for hostel fee and college fee and as it was private college so it was expected in that side only. I remember it was 15 K for college and 10 K for hostel. Hostel was full of many facilities so it was good time.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were banks offering loan but I never used that. Some friends took education loan but I dont have much of idea about that.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratios was bad as I think it was like 10 gals in class of 60. Labs & workshops were good. We were the first batch so no issue of ragging and there were no issues of race religion etc. Everything was great infact.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

It was up and down, sometimes good sometimes bad. Hostel was at construction phase so earlier we were in dormitories den we moved to first boys hostel den to senior boys hostel. Even canteen earlier were shared with a kids school later on own canteen was built.

Alumni/Alumna

Never got a chance to visit any alumni session because I was out of country for some year and some times busy with some other commitments but yes always in touch with my best buddies of college.

Exam Structure

It was good. Mostly we had to travel to jaipur for our final exams as our college was not allowed for seating.

Faculty

4

I remember our faculty members and they were superb. Match Faculty Jugal Sir was the best. Chemistry faculty was PHD. Then computer faculty was great. I would say all the faculty was great and never had any issues as such.

Students become eligible for summer internship (after 3rd year) from start of 3rd year (5th sem) and for the placements, companies come to the college from 7th semester onwards. Companies like jo Morgan, Deloitte, Flipkart, goldman sachs , PepsiCo ,oracle, bny ,ubs , rippling etc come here for placements, some of them come for 2months and 6months internship too. Average package offered by them is 9-10 lpa , jpmc , Goldman, visa they offer till 12 lpa and it can go up for some of the companies . Most of the companies allow to sit for 6.5cgpa and above but some of them allows 7.5 and above cgpa and jpmc allows 8.5cgpa and plus as far I know till now . I am currently looking forward to work in a company and get a placement.

Birla Institute of Technology - [BIT], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
