Remarks

It was good place to study. Your future is in safe hands.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The lab was good and the faculty was good. This is what you need in college. Starting from the head of the department to college Dean, everyone was supportive. Lab teachers were awesome, I learnt a lot of networking fundas from them. They were a gem. The lab was the best part of my college.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement was okay. They conducted some good placement fair but the outcome was not good. Some of them were a fraud company.

College Events

4

We were only celebrating Annual Function. Other functions were very limited. But the best part was the cricket tournament that we were having in every quarter. This was entertaining. We were having a big playground where we used to play different games.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is average compared to other colleges. The best part is if your father's salary is less than 40000 annually then you can avail the up government scholarship scheme. You can pay a fee in two instalments and multiple options are available for other below poverty line guys.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got two scholarships, one from up government and another from NTE. Those were my lifelines. NTE you can give in 8th class.

Campus Life

4

Everything was awesome, due to some reasons the gender ratio was not good. The ratio was 1:8. It's because college was on remote location although it has good reach from all transportation means parents were concerned about girls security. Labs for various departments were well equipped.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they were friendly, they helped us in every moment whether it's related to study or placement they were always there.

Admission

Passed the entrance exam, via counselling I got college. The fee was fixed. Reached college and directly get admission. Admission staff was supportive and the best part is their process was organized. Starting from Dean to the clerk, staff everyone was supportive.

Faculty

4

The faculty was awesome. I would like to take a few names like Sanjeev Tripathi, J P Yadav Mr sachan etc. There are many names. Due to their hard work, we are here in a good position. I remember there was a subject called automata. And thanks to Sanjeev sir for making that subject easy.

Placement Experience:

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Placement Experience:

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
