If you are a sincere student you wont face issues, if you are not you will face issues but the good part is most of the student are in the not sincere group, and who does not want to have fun having some trouble.

I took AIEEE exam and choose this college because I wanted to study mechanical engineering, other option were expensive in ways of donation asked from management seat, this college did not ask for donation.

Course curriculum is same for all engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh under CSVTU, self study in necessary to pass or obtain good marks, guide books are available but text books are recommended for better understanding, curriculum in my opinion is at par with other government universities and tougher than private universities.

You have to source your own internship/summer training, a letter from the college for the same will be provided as per your needs on request stipends are rare, it is up to you if you wish to learn really from internship or just for the sake of fulfilling university requirements because summers in chhattisgarh are really hot often crossing 45 c.

Most students begin preparing for GATE or other exams for higher studies, campus placement throughout most private colleges are the same, you may hear some big names but they end up offering you some sales position or offer you some course after which if you clear their requirements you might get a real job.

Most colleges have some form of annual function/fest mostly celebrated at the end of the year, they organise various competition ranging from sports to debates etc.

Fee in the state of chhattisgarh is less for engineering compared to other states plus you might get scholarship if you belong to obc st sc castes, some batches of students also recieved laptops from the government at their last year.

Scholarship is provided for obc sc, st students not sure if you are eligible if you do not belong to this state, loans are provided by banks as usual.

I would recommend students to focus on clearing semester exams on time since the university checking system cannot be relied on, you might pass knowing you would fail and vice versa, activities like robotics are mostly conducted once every year and you will get a certificate for attending it, its a so so activity.

Do not expect much from hostel food, you will end up craving hotel food, try to love basic rice dal then you will do fine at hostel, good point of hostels are unlimited water and electricity.

Chhattisgari people are honest and friendly, be it be your senior or faculty or a stranger on road you met, you will be treated the way you treat them.

You will appear for class tests through out the semester of 20 marks and internal of another 20 marks which is called as TA (teacher asssement) you require to attain 12 marks in TA atleast or you will be failed in that subject which causes serious issues, the main exam theory is of 80 marks out of which you need to score 28 marks to pass.

Most of the faculty are young, recently passed out from nearby colleges who are pursuing higher degrees hence do not expect or depend on them, none the less they are helpful aslong as the student is obedient and respectful.
