Remarks

It is very fewest of the B.Tech Biotechnology colleges in the Chhattisgarh state. So it was on of the criteria for my selection. Secondly it's campus environment felt warm and friendly. On my orientation program I got to meet my HOD who was very nice to me and it felt like this was the one. Admission process is quite simple, you just have to fill a form and give safety amount for the admission along with the admission fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum could be updated a bit including more practical parts. Biotechnology is a field that requires a lot of practical knowledge and field work. The faculty: student ratio is 1:13 which is quite good. HoD is highly qualified with very high contacts. This course is a semester system of intervals of 6 months. Timely tests are taken and projects given. Not too difficult to pass.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement opportunities are not very good and I would suggest you to go for open placements rather than relying on campus placement. But companies such as Infosys, Reliance,Tata steel, Medanta, Byjus, Toshiba, etc come for placement. The highest package offered till date is 3lakhs per annum. The Lowest package is 50000 per annum. And the average package ranges between 1-2 lakhs per annum.Only about 30-40% students get campus placement.

College Events

Campus life is awesome. Annual fest takes place which is named as RITO fest. It's a 1 week long fest which has technical events such as robo wars, educational events such as quizzes, sports and traditional events, dance face off, etc. Library is not so great as all books are not available in enough quantity. But e-library is accessible 24í?7. Besides study importance to sports is also given and students are encouraged to take part in sports.

Campus Life

4

Sports facilities for outdoor and indoor sports are available such as cricket, football, handball, basketball, badminton, table-tennis,carrom,chess,etc. Wifi facilities are given for research purposes and the library has its own wifi system for e-library which has access to online journals.Labs are not very well equipped but for Biotechnology we have the access to Aaditya Biotech Lab which is separate from our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The relevancy is not at par to be fair. There are many things which are theoretical but are not applicable in real life which makes our course a little out of date in comparison to real life practices.

Placement Experience:

Every year, good law firms from tier 1 and 2 classes and corporate companies take placements from our college. The students become eligible for placement from the 9th semester itself. In my batch, every student who registered for placement got placed in a law firm. I didn't opt for placement as I have other plans of doing a Master's further after my graduation.

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

From 7th semester we can sit in interviews but the companies are far too less, like in last year only 6 companies came to campus at all, with an average package of ?3,00,000 and about 15 students got placed from Entire BTech, like 15 out of 500 students that too for sales roles

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
