Lavanya Suresh's Review On St Aloysius (Deemed To Be University), Mangalore

ACCA is seen as an upcoming course which has a very good success rate. Adding BCom along with ACCA doesn’t only give you the degree but also give you the qualification of ACCA along with exemptions of 7 papers amongst the other 14. If you opt to do both of the courses together you get the exemption. St. Aloysius gives the amazing opportunity to students this way. Along which the campus is extraordinarily huge with various facilities such as a Gym, library, ground, basketball court as well as a renowned swimming pool which is the highlight of our college. The teachers teach extremely well and are very friendly which makes it easy to approach them.

Acca is updated every year according to the actual board in the UK. The faculty is very friendly and helps out every time. It is followed based on the UK syllabus and exam time tables. It is a 3 years course in our college and so far it is good.

I don’t know. I’m only a first year student so I’ve not much knowledge about these placements. But I do know that different companies and organisations come to our college to get graduates and give them a job.

Our college hosts a lot of activities such as interclass and inter school activities. In which a lot of people come and participate in these fests. There are cultural as well as sports activities. Students widely participate in all the activities and have a great reputation amongst other colleges in the city.

There are scholarships available but I’m not aware of any as I didn’t apply for any. They are offered by Mangalore University to other colleges. I’ve heard there are many good scholarship schemes. I don’t really have good knowledge about it.

Our college has a lot of facilities starting with the huge ground in which a lot of activities take place. It has a gym, basketball and library. St. Aloysius was built in 1800s so it still has a beautiful chapel which gives immense tranquility once you step into it. Another highlight of the college is a renowned swimming pool.

There are many hostel facilities which are offered by the college and outside as well which comes along with good food and spacious room with other members who you can choose to share such as 3,4,2 or single sharing rooms.
