Remarks

They have well-trained faculties. Very good infrastructure. Rules have to be strictly followed. They train us a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

I've chosen Civil Engineering because I could do my M.Planning after my UG. The student and faculty members to tend to be very understanding of each other, they knew the students need and they work on us. Faculties in our college are ME, PhD holders. I could rate my dept, facilities (9/10). We have exams regularly (daily) in alternative weeks. Marks will be given on the same day of examination. Whoever gets less or fail mark has to stay I the evening, the consult faculty member will be there with them by teaching them the respected subject, clarifying their doubts and make them write their exams again.

Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

They often offer off-campus internships. Because when they offer on-campus students will not become. So students have to search for there own internships based on there preference and comfort. The college will help them by giving a letter of recommendation, bonafide etc whichever the particular company needs.

Placement Experience

Final year students are eligible for placement. Many national and international companies hire our students. Some companies also choose students with backlogs. TT structures, Vellore. L&T, Chennai. Utracon structures, Chennai. These are some civil related companies In Vellore and Chennai. They hire our students and place them around India. They offer around 10k-20k around a month. Depending upon there performances.

Fees and Financial Aid

They collect neatly 55k-60k for there tuition fees. It is based on anna university rules. The bus will be collected separately depending upon the distance travelling.

Campus Life

Every year in the month of October we celebrate fest, naming festober. Many symposium will be conducted depending upon our exam schedules. We have a separate block for the library. It has books, journals, a referral section. We also have projector Inc classroom and also, blackboard.

Hostel Facilities

I've never visited my college hostel so I don't know much about it. I knew only a little, but not sure about that.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

I had applied to three colleges in Vellore the first preference is VIT Vellore institute of technology, and the next Thanthai Periyar Government College Of Engineering and lastly Kingston Engineering College which is nearer to my home. I am not able to join VIT because the course fees are too high for 4 years nearly 3.5 lakhs per year which is not affordable to my parents, And the reason the next college is seats are filled for BE Electronics and communication engineering which I preferred. so finally I joined Kingston engineering college. I availed OBC quota for my admission to Kingston Engineering College. The Admission criteria for B.E ECE is one must complete HSC or 12 the grade in any state of India with a minimum of 65% in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and age should be above 18 years.
