Remarks

College management as I said earlier supports the students more than any other college administration in this state. The management is approachable and super friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is outdated but the exam structure has been revamped recently. The curriculum deals with ancient techniques and fundamentals, nothing to do with current clinical practise or latest technology. But on the other side the course prepares us better for a good clinician. There are a ton of opportunities to deal and involve with a lot of people both professionally and cocurricular vise.

Placement Experience

1.5

The internship period is 1 year. It is called Compulsory Rotatory Internship. The internship is like a mini real world scenario where your training wheels are off but the faculty is close at hand to guide you if you need them to. You also get the oppurtunity to guide your juniors and other collegues in their works and cases.

College Events

4

We have a variety of curricular and non curricular events that take place at our college each year. At the beginning of our academic year we have an orientation program that gives us a brief glimpse into what lies ahead this year and how are we expected to tackle it. Next comes our freshers day where the new admission batch is introduced to the college students and faculty. Followed by the sports extravaganza. The calender year is concluded with Christmas festivities and the next year starts with a fresh term after holidays with New Year celebrations. We then have our annual Arts championships which is followed by the inter college and state level championships. There are a variety of local and national festivals and holidays celebrated throughout the academic year like Onam, Holi, Diwali, Eid, Bakrid, St. Thomas Day, Valentines day, Dentists day, World Day, and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee depends on student to student. For general merit student is ranges from 2. 5L to 5L. For BPL and reserved category students the fee can be as low as 12, 000 with scholarships and grants. The state and central govt entrance schemes fee is decided every year by the govts and courts. The management fee is set by the institution and can vary year by year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship as I had joined under state institution scheme. But for those who join under state govt and central govt scheme they get upto 50% fee cut.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is heavily skewed in favour for women. There is approximately 100 females for 20 males. The cultural societies in our college is not at par with other colleges nor is the other clubs or societies. But we do have lot of student oriented self clubs like Movie Nights and Cricket clubs.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes. Hostels are spacious well maintained and neat. There are seperate mens and ladies accommodation with attached baths and toilets. The rooms are usually double or triple occupancy. All rooms are equipped with 2 or 3 tubelights, 1 or 2 ceiling fans, 1 or 2 power outlets, 2 or 3 cots and beds, 2 or 3 tables and chairs and 1, 2 or 3 cupboards.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni generally do not come back to the college unless they are required to as they are all busy with their own activities.

Admission

Price. Location. Closeness to my culture. Friends. Food. Freedom. Admission starts from July and ends at August. The academic year starts at October. The process is usually smooth unless there is any legal issues. Usually all students are selected via entrance examinations. Some seats are reserved for NRIs.

Faculty

3.5

College staff are good. As in any college there are good apples and bad apples. Staff are generally good and are informative. They do help us in our work and assignments. The administration is amazing. All in all the support lend to students by the college faculty is better than any other college. Any student is free to walk into the cabin of any teacher and ask questions or even call in afterclass hours for any inquiry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We can be the reason for someone's confident smile is the reason for my decision to choose this course. Prosthodontology is the specific aspect of this curriculum that influenced me. If the student go strict to the curriculum that will definitely reflect in the real world. this makes the student more confident in the career. The available teaching methods are good enough. As i mentioned each level has its own toughness. if we stick on to the curriculum, and the path paved by the facilities the difficulty level will be much lower

Course Curriculum Overview:

No one tells you the dark side of the course or even if they do little do we understand..this course is never as expected..it requires a lot of patience, and strength to hold on yourself when the whole campus is against you and you have to work as a one man army. it's just powerpoint presentation and reading it aloud in class and it's done...it we who have to work. There are 2-3 internal exam but none of these marks are considered for the last University exam...it's all what we score for the final exam..there's another model exam then lots of small tests
