Remarks

Overll its a good place to be. Little bit adjustments on food and other aspects are to be made. But with the tag of NIT it provides various opportunities to develop, its upto the individual on how much he grabs and capitalize on the same. Management is decent, and students body is a strong one that keeps management under control if it takes any unwise decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

A year is divided into 2 semesters, and each semester has 4 exams. 2 minors, and a mid semester and an end semester exam. Pattern is standard, with various laboratory as well as theoretical courses. There are ample opportunities for a student to grab and proceed his interest further. Its all upto you about what you want to make of them.

Placement Experience

4

NITW has a great placement season especially for software firms, with big names like Uber, Deshaw, Amazon, Microsoft etc. arriving every year. Even for core branches the placements are very good and almost every student is placed in a good company of his liking. Certain training programmes are conducted by institute and stride bodies.

College Events

3.5

NITW has 2 major annual events Technozion and Spring spree that are tech and cultural events respectively. Also there are various stident club bodies to persue or explore one's non academic interests and hobbies as per one's liking. These help overall development.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure recently has become expensive for all NITs. Loans can be availed easily and scholarships are offered based on academic performances. Even fee reductions are available for EBCs and orher caste basis. The ROI for the college is actually good. The fee submitted is fully transparent and every detail is mentioned in the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is offered to the academically excelling every year. For this person the complete fee is waived off.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is the best part with various infrastructure like sports ground, gym, badminton courts and volleyball tennis courts. One can persue any interest in the music, dance, literary clubs as well. Students from all over India and even from abroad are a part of same campus living in coherence. Thus, every festival is celebrated in college at a grand scale by students. The gender ratio is less, just like any other engineering college.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of the college is strong that enables various companies to visit. Yet, there is no direct alumni interaction program held. Sometimes if alumni are available they conduct sessions. Rest, if you know any, they are always helpful.

Admission

After securing a good rank in JEE, NIT Warangal was an obvious choice owing to the good reputation and rank of institute. The admission procedure was through JOSAA process conducted by central authorities. Mainly online process followed by documents verification offline.

Faculty

3.5

Owing to NIT tag, the faculties do have a great academic background with PhD done. Yet, some faculty which are having many years of experience are quite stubborn and aren't of very useful guidance to students. Whereas there are some faculties in campus who do a lot to adapt to new ways of teaching and help students in other matters like gaining practical knowledge and better understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
