Remarks

I can blame my college, as far those 3 years it gave me lot of memories. But one thing I will tell that the government must look into the students union election to be held properly in free, fair and unbiased way without violence. Bcoz voting is the right of each individual.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum here is pretty simple for those who took it carefully. Wayward students can't find it easy. It's fair as per state government regulations. B.j.b college has taught me a lot to be a better professional among struggle and other diversities. Particular department of students offer field visit to places to enhance their learning. Some department don't rely on field learning.

Placement Experience

3

Actually I am an Arts students, normally i have not seen any companies in my 3 years college span. But commerce and science students gets some opportunity through companies like Larsen n toubro. No the institutions didn't take special steps to prepare students for placement specifically on arts students.

College Events

4.5

College celebrates different festivals like ganesh puja, separate department also participate, freshers party, farewell, annual function, annual sports, etc. Interested candidate can participate in sports and annual function. Department of different subject try to enhance their performance in cultural activities like dancing, singing in farewell and freshers party. Sports have running, jumping and throwing events on line in the nearest college field. Election In our college is also like a function which held every year. But unfortunately this event isn't peaceful and violence takes place. So I hope in future it either takes place in a non violent atmosphere or gets eradicated by government or high court.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a state government college, fees is affordable to many people. In my time it was around ?950. Cash is generally accepted here as mode of payment. Late submission will get fined of little amount. No additional fees. No bribes. Iam happy for that. Fees is based on category of general, sc, st, physically handicap, etc. Apart from general category other categories gets relaxation in fees. For practical in separate subject some small amount will be charged. But not for every subject. Those who are in NCC, Air force they have separate fees for them like their uniform. One can persue additional course which is Ignou, Indira gandhi open university. It has separate base of learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I never come across such incentives, but in case of sc, st and obc category there are some incentives provided by college.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio in arts stream was almost 2:1, here 2 is girls and 1 is boys. But in commerce and science there was equal amount. Sports infrastructure wasn't properly maintained. But NCC and Airforce was there for interested candidate. And both were of good standard. Nss is also there.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year there is an event held known as B. J. B friends. It's happening since long time till now where all old and new students meet. If you can socialize properly then u can find alumni helpful.

Admission

Well B.J. B is the no. 1 college in state of odisha, and one of the most decorated institution. So my first choice always was bjb college. Admission here is not easy for students who disrespect Mark's in thier career. Selection process here comes in three phases, 1st, 2nd and 3 rd according to candidate merit list. Hence accordingly deserving students gets admission here in arts, science, commerce etc

Faculty

4

Numbers of lecturers in college are almost 70 to 80. Among them most are of UGC level. Other separate are contractual basis apart from above 70 - 80 lecturers. Some are truely professional and strict which I appreciate, some of them are a bit easy on students. But are good on their specific field. Age category various from 30 to late 50 's. Some are around 25 mainly contractual basis.

They provide vast type of coriculom like - kabadi, football, cricket, nss, ncc etc. Who going to that field. That was best for that man applying that field. I i suggest for their improvement in faculty-student ratio. This university exams very tough. The Invigilateers are very stricts. They dont provide any comp on exams.
