Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum and syllabus at the Modern College of Engineering is pretty detailed and vast, so as to cover most of the topics. It follows the exam pattern of the Savitribai Phule University, Pune. The exams conducted are both - online and offline at the end of each semester.

Placement Experience

Despite most of the students applying for further studies, many companies from various industrial sectors provide job opportunities for the students. Some companies that visited the college for placements include - Infosys, TCS and Wipro.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the Modern College of Engineering is a little expensive. It charges 37,800 rupees per year. For a three year course, the overall fee crosses 1.13 lakh rupees. However, there are certain benefits like scholarships for some students, and other benefits depending on the family income as well.

Campus Life

The Modern College of Engineering does not support extra curricular activities much, as there is a 75% mandatory attendance. The vast campus includes various laboratories and workshops with adequate equipments. The college has a ground and a gym as well.

Admission

After finishing my 10th and appearing in the JEECUP examination, my admission at the Modern College of Engineering was imminent. The eligibility criteria is not much, as it requires 35% or more in 10th grade examination. After the documentation procedure at the college, my admission was complete.

Faculty

The faculty members are well educated, as they are all M.E and M.Tech graduates. They are knowledgeable and well trained. The faculty members are always ready to help and clear all doubts. They even try and make the lectures more fun and interesting.

Our study is important but the most important thing is the placement, which makes your career better. Our college has campus placement and many companies visit and hire our students. In many branches, not all the students get the placement but the students who are toppers and who are good in their study get the placement. I also dream to get a placement so that I can get a job quickly after my diploma. For that, I am really working hard and improving my skills, knowledge, and my scores. Tata Motors, Layam Group, Myntra, Bajaj, and other companies come to our college for the placement. In the final year of our course, this opportunity comes to us and we are very much awaited for that.

Best engineering college for BTech and polytechnic. Architecture department are also in our college. Labs, laboratories, libraries. Buses with camera. Girl hostels.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, our senior get a job in many respected companies. About 70 to 80% of students placed in every year. About 40 students placed in Mechanical in core companies in this. Covid time by virtual placement drive. And minimum package for diploma student is 2.5 LPA to 5lpa.

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.
