Remarks
College management is after money, money over anything else. Students are helpless and have to approach the university authorities for something to get done.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very technical and as it is Hons degree, they teach you more details about the subjects which in turn gives you more exposure resulting in more knowledge and know-how. It is fair. They have subjects like bec and soft skills making you a better professional.
Placement Experience
Placements as of now is a question as my course is new but the placements are usually good with the other institutions under the yenepoya name.
College Events
Oman celebrations, IV trips, sports day. If the students request the authorities they will allow celebrations. There is a sunburn every year, as well as many other DJ nights. Plus the city is Mangalore the life there is pretty chill. Definitely not Bangalore.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Expensive for general students, cheap for NRIs. As the only difference between you and the other students is that you have to pay in dollars rather than paying more than the general students like the other institutions ask you to do. So it is relatively.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I haven't availed. Any such things so I'm not eligible to answer. But they did offer scholarships to students securing 90%+.
Campus Life
Campus life is nonexistent as it is one building although the campus is being built as we speak. The gender ratio is dominated by males in the current batch. Around 5 males to one girl. And very strict supervision is given out by our feminist faculties about being "professional".
Hostel Facilities
Yes, AC rooms if 6 sharing and non AC if 4 sharing. Housekeeping is available every day, laundry services are available every 2 days a week. The mess is like any other hostel some days great some days manageable.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are chill once you get to know them, it's fun and better than other colleges in the city.
Admission
The admission process is pretty easy. You either go directly to the college or you get in through a student already studying in it so as to earn a discount. Then you'll be called for an interview on which basis you'll be selected for admission. I opted for the course because of the vast number of companies that are linked to the university with which our college is affiliated to. The placements and the university sports facilities.
Faculty
As far as now we assess them through college and then the college website. The number of staffs is less than usual but more than enough. The attitude towards male students and grooming though is very questionable, as male students receive a stricter action than female students. Hopefully, it changes soon.
