Remarks

I don't find any bad thing about my college. A very good place to study law.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is of 5 years. During our times we had the Part examination system (Yearly), i.e. Once in a year. Overall, the structure was good and helpful. The course covers all the aspects of LAW through its systematic learning structure. This plays a vital role in building a career of an aspiring lawyer.

Placement Experience

Earlier, it had a good record of placements into various sectors of Government. Presently, it is also focussing into placing it's students into various Private Sectors also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible. The fee structure is a person the Government regulations as this is a campus that is aided by the UGC. The fees are very nominal. Everyone can afford that. Also, there are various schemes for Meritorious and Backward Class students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for one. But there are scholarships for meritorious and backward class students. They can opt it from Bikash Bhavan.

Campus Life

4

Good campus life. Very lively. Throughout the year one can have debates, quizs, court visits, and lot many other cultural and educational activities. Gender ratio was 1 female per 2 male students. Umang is the best activity that this campus organises.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes. The hostel this campus have is a great place. One can opt for this facility from the University administration very easily. Great experience and a great place to reside and study. Good ambience and good food. Overall a awesome place.

Alumni/Alumna

Very helpful. Every alumni is very helpful and they guide their juniors in a very good manner. Seniors help their juniors in every manner.

Admission

After 12th, I was looking for a professional course and then I saw the online advertisement of the BALLB 5 Year Integrated Course. I opted for this course through the website and everything was available over there. Then I was given dates for entrance examination and the centre was Kolkata. I ranked 64 and after counselling I got the chance to select this best department.

Faculty

Our college or department have a good and learned bunch of teachers and professors. They have good knowledge of law and respective subjects. They work very hard in building the career of their fellow students. We have a good ambience over the entire college also administration.

To perform good in interview our university has included boot camps in our routine which helps in improving our interview skills. Students in their last year get offers for jobs from university but students are not getting job offers as they excepted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.A.LLB(Hons.) because I want to have knowledge of law because laws form the basis of society. Moreover, I had an Arts Background therefore, it was a good combination for me to explore and go according to my desired path of career. The count of faculty members of IILS is an approximation of 20-30 teachers and the students each semester is near about 70-100. The teachers are truly well versed in their respective subjects and they're immensely knowledgeable and friendly, they try hard to make us understand in the easiest manner. But the only problem is that the faculties are not permanent, it keeps on changing. The term examinations were always on time except for the lockdown time but this was also managed smoothly within time. In order to know the difficulties I would share a fact and i.e., when I took admission in my Institute there was a total number of 140 students in my semester but no sooner than the first exam held half of them failed and now we're 70 of us.
