The first 4 years will have exams at the end of the years to test the level of knowledge attained at the end of each year and then in the 5th year there's a compulsory rotatary internship, where you get trained in the treatment techniques of dentistry. Since this is a service driven sector, there won't be any campus placements in India for dental and medical fields.

There's a group called SJDC alumni association where elections are held to elect president, vice president and treasurer. I have good rapport with the seniors and alumni and it's a ragging free campus.
Admission
There are generally 3 categories for admissions. The A category seats in which the top rankers get admission for nominal fee and then the B category seats where the next rankers after top rankers will seat with a higher fee. Both of these category admissions happen in the university counselling, where they call you when your rank comes up and give you the list of colleges you are eligible and you can opt the college of your choice. There is another category called management quota where non rankers can get a seat but costs huge money, this process happens within the college. All the students who want to join the course must write the entrance exam.

There are around 60 lecturers in the college. Senior lecturers with an average age of 30 years, assistant professors with an average age of 35 years and professors with an average age of 40 years. They all have the same qualification but the promotion happens with experience and research papers published. Some of them have private dental practices which will help them to teach the students with techniques and advanced developments in the field.
