Remarks
It's probably better to not bother taking admission here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is straightforward. Nothing too complicated for anyone to get a handle on. The structure is easy and anyone can ace it with a decent amount of effort. However, the structure itself is not competitive enough to prepare one for the real-world scenario, much like most universities. In order to learn practical skills, more than ordinary effort is required.
Placement Experience
Placements are minimal, as the university is still nascent and the approach towards placements is not refined. Law firms are invited to the university, to offer placement opportunities to the students willing to appear before them as candidates. However, the people willing to opt for corporate jobs are less, in contrast to the students intending to appear for competitive exams.
College Events
The most prominent events would the moot courts, one organized every semester. In addition, several events are organized such as debates, etc. However, the variety is absent, and the repetition becomes mundane over time. Additionally, participation is also very limited.
Fee Structure And Facilities
If an all-around assessment is to be made, for what is offered by the institution, the fee demanded is largely out of proportion. It's better to opt for any other private university. Since it is secluded, the opportunities you are able to avail are severely constrained.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available on the basis of merit in the 12th standard, with slabs decided on the basis of percentage. However, that applied only at the time of admission. Scholarships subsequent to the 1st semester are based on the score in the preceding semester.
Campus Life
Campus life is mundane. Confined within 66 acres of land, the options available on campus are severely limited. However, since the location is secluded in the middle of an industrial zone, the other options of entertainment are also severely limited. Almost close to none. The gender ratio is balanced. Extracurricular is present for the sake of the name, although the facilities exist on paper. Events are held as a formality, but the level is mediocre at best.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. The hostels are probably the only selling point of this University. Single-occupancy is the only option, which is an added bonus. The rooms are equipped with air conditioners. The rooms are sufficiently equipped for a student and are spacious enough. For law students, hostel accommodation is a mandatory requirement. However, for other departments, it is not so.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is limited, although most of them are helpful in nature. Senior batches are unperturbed to the plight of juniors, so not a wise decision to rely on them for guidance.
Admission
I had appeared for CLAT 2015, so 5 Year law was obvious. As for why this university, decent infrastructure was one of the major reasons to opt as I did. Admissions began in June after the merit list of CLAT 2015 was released, and after applying, a minimal PI was conducted to confirm admission into the institution.
Faculty
The faculty are decently qualified and are accommodative of the student inclinations. As per the UGC requirements, the number of faculty members is adequately met. However, the guidance is minimal and most are expected of the student to take the initiative and study.
